I’m just wondering what some of your guilty pleasure names are these days? Do you have ones that you wish you’d given your child(ren)?
For months now, [name_f]Rooney[/name_f] and [name_m]Zealand[/name_m] have had a significant chokehold on me!!
[name_m]Not[/name_m] a parent but that one influencer couple (Conner and [name_f]Liana[/name_f]) who named their son [name_m]Koazy[/name_m], I get why people don’t like the name but I lowkey kinda love it, it’s adorable to me lol
My current favourite GP’s are [name_m]Desiderius[/name_m], [name_m]Severus[/name_m], [name_m]Corvus[/name_m], and [name_m]Evanescence[/name_m]. I don’t have any kids, but these four are all some of my favourite siblings for my number one boys name [name_m]Invictus[/name_m]. So I do wish I could name my kids these names.
Oh, I love Koazy!!! He’s such a cutie pie!!!
[name_f]Rooney[/name_f] and [name_m]Zealand[/name_m] are very charming 
9 boys in [name_m]England[/name_m] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] were called [name_m]Koazy[/name_m] this year! It is cute!
Some of mine right now – of various kinds:
[name_f]Edie[/name_f] / [name_f]Eadie[/name_f] was our top girl’s name for a hot minute!!
I love [name_f]Rooney[/name_f]! So charming & swish! I can almost see the appeal of [name_m]Zealand[/name_m] but maybe being geographically close the [name_m]New[/name_m] one, makes it hard for an [name_f]Aussie[/name_f] to grasp.
My current GP focus (names I’d still use if could have more babies) are terms of endearment: [name_f]Honey[/name_f], [name_f]Peaches[/name_f], [name_f]Plum[/name_f], [name_f]Dolly[/name_f] (RIP) etc.
And I wish I could reuse my pup’s name, [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]. Oh and [name_m]Fife[/name_m] is back in my mind, for boy.
I feel the same having lived in [name_m]Australia[/name_m] for years, but I can’t help t! [name_m]Zealand[/name_m] has a hold on me!!!

Zealand is a huge GP for me, too.
I’m forever in love with Hekate. I also love Whimsy, Lullaby, Valkyrie, and Liberty. Fairy tales give me a ton of inspiration: Bensiabel and Rapunzel would be my boy-girl twins if they were a smidge more wearable.
[name_m]Evanescence[/name_m] has such a pretty sound. And there’s the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Valkyrie[/name_f] is such a bada*s name to me, it reminds me of names like [name_f]Nyx[/name_f], [name_m]Artemis[/name_m] or [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]
Im kind of sad we didnt go with [name_f]Andeline[/name_f] for our last baby. (Though her name fits her perfectly and I wouldve been sad if we hadnt used it too!)

I feel like [name_m]Desiderius[/name_m] is usable! [name_m]Not[/name_m] sure if you’re familiar with the old actor [name_f]Desi[/name_f] [name_m]Arnaz[/name_m] (best known for playing [name_m]Ricky[/name_m] [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] in I [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]) but his full first name was [name_m]Desiderio[/name_m].
I’m not familiar, but I love that so much. I think the main issue is if I was going to use [name_m]Desiderius[/name_m] with any other name, it would be Invicus, and [name_m]Invictus[/name_m] and [name_m]Desiderius[/name_m] is just a lot.
[name_m]Anatoli[/name_m] like Anatolian [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]? It’s a cool name that makes me think of dogs lol
I do love it for others – and have been so pleased to meet a little – alas, it sounds too like something else for me personally! So I have to stick with [name_f]Enid[/name_f], [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f]
Kind of, they both come from the same root word in ancient greek ‘anatole’ meaning ‘sunrise’ or ‘place where the sunrises’ which then came to mean the east. Then since turkey was east of greece; they started to call that Anatole, and that is where the Anatolian Shepherd comes from.
And then at the same time they created a personal name Anatolios, meaning person of the sunrise or person of the East.Though my understanding is now in modern Greece, while the word anatoli exists and is used as a word to mean sunrise it iis exceedingly rare for it to be used as a name (it would be the equivalent of an english person naming their child ‘sunrise’) however the name is very common in slavic countries like Ukraine and Russia. Which is no where near where the Anatolian Shepherd originates from.
Ans in the countries where the name Anatoli is more common the Anatolian Shepherd is more commonly referred to as the Kangal Shepherd/Sheep dog.
So its like they both originate from the same source, but dont ever really cross paths.
