Never really considered [name]Gus[/name] before until I was playing toy dogs with my dd and named one of them [name]Gus[/name]. It felt weird to be using the name for a game cuz I could only picture a little boy named [name]Gus[/name]. Haha strange I know.
Anyway, not too fond of [name]Gustave[/name] or [name]August[/name], but I keep thinking Gustin nn [name]Gus[/name], which would be great since my husbands close brother is justin.
Not normally a fan of made up names but somehow this one seems very doable.wdyt?
Gustin isn’t too bad, but sounds pretty made up to me. Alternatives to [name]August[/name]/[name]Gustave[/name] (* indicate my favorites):
[name]Augustus[/name]*
[name]Augustine[/name]
[name]Argus[/name]*
[name]Angus[/name]*
[name]Ferguson[/name]
[name]Gustavo[/name]/[name]Gustaf[/name]
[name]Gus[/name] (kept as is) might work as a middle name if you don’t like the formal versions. Or find a first-and-middle combo from which [name]Gus[/name] could be derived (Gu-- S— Lastname, like um, Montague Sinclair, Gunther Simon, Gulliver Solomon?) A bit of a stretch perhaps haha.
