[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] by itself is lovely! However, Gwynett, [name_f]Gwenna[/name_f], [name_f]Gwennie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] would be cute if you decide not to pick [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] as the full first name.

The general consensus seems to be that [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is fine as a standalone name, so it’s going on my list!
@kew: That’s so interesting! I knew [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] was a name in its own right, but I didn’t realise the longer forms came about so much later. Probably because it took longer for other elements to be compounded with [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] into the longer forms, and then a while for them to become established?
