Thank you!

I prefer something short and sweet to balance the long elegance of [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] and despite not being a massive fan of alliterative combinations, [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is spunky and gorgeous! Really like that [name_u]Grey[/name_u] balances the femininity of [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] as well!

Gwendolen [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is just perfect! [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Calluna[/name_f] is just too much of a mouthful although they are both lovely names. [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] is nice but doesn’t quite match [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] for me.

hi! these are all so lovely. I have a question, though!
[name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] & [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] have meaning for you like [name_f]Calluna[/name_f] does? :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you! To answer your question, yes! These all honor my mother, [name_f]Heather[/name_f]. [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is the color of some heather varieties and [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] comes from the [name_m]German[/name_m] word meaning heather.

Okay, great! I do think [name_f]Calluna[/name_f] is beautiful, but I also think [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and [name_u]Grey[/name_u] flow a little better. I didn’t want you to lose the meaning though, as I’m a firm believer that meaning is more important than flow
I’m glad to see they all honor your mom! I really love [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], it’s beautiful and unexpected. [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is also lovely though, it feels cool and a bit edgy! I like the alliteration too! I can see why it is a difficult choice! Good luck!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, I totally agree about [name_f]Calluna[/name_f]. It’s lovely, but it’s definitely a mouthful.

Gwendolen [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is such a hard choice, you’re right! You basically nailed how I feel regarding both names :joy:. I’ve always loved [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], but I also adore [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. I love thunderstorms and snow, and that’s a love my mother and I share, so I’m torn! [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] has a closer connection to [name_f]Heather[/name_f], and she is a powerful namesake. Ugh!

But seriously, thank you for your input!

Have you considered the idea of two middles? I used to not be a fan (for myself!), but lately I’ve been liking them more. I think [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] could be beautiful, and then it also includes every meaningful thing you want! Although, I completely understand if that isn’t your style!
If you’re worried about [name_u]Grey[/name_u] not being close enough to [name_f]Heather[/name_f], the most important thing to remember is that all that matters is the meaning it has for you. I have some honor names on my list that probably wouldn’t be noticeable right away by other people who knew the person, but they are meaningful to me so that’s what matters! Either way, [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]’s name will be full of meaning that you’ll share with her!
Also, another option of course (if you plan on having more than one child!), is you could put [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and [name_u]Grey[/name_u] into seperate combos and that way you get to keep both! Or maybe even [name_f]Calluna[/name_f] :slightly_smiling_face:
Good luck! I’m always struggling with choosing between combos myself, so I completely understand!

You’re right! [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is so well-balanced, and I adore it. I’m not normally a fan of double-barreling names, but I might have to consider this one! You’re definitely also right about names holding honor in your own eyes being important. I like the idea of using [name_u]Grey[/name_u] in a separate combo. [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is one I’ve been toying with (for a boy, of course lol). Thank you so much for your input
