So I think my husband and I have our name list narrowed down to Hadley and Marlowe for baby girl #2 due New Year’s Day. Big sister is Caraline Hope (Caroline with an a). We have a niece named Haddassah, nn Haddie - which we aware is close and it’s our hesitation with the name. However, we see them probably 5 times a year at holidays and we aren’t crossing it off because names we like are hard to come by and I like the way it sounds with Caraline. Middle name ideas as follows:
Hadley Noel
Hadley Promise
Hadley Bell/Belle
Marlowe Mary
Marlowe Bell/Belle
Marlowe Noel
Curious which name and pairing you prefer. Thank you!
Between [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] and [name_f]Hadley[/name_f], I was leaning towards [name_f]Hadley[/name_f]. However, considering your niece’s name, I would go with [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f].
[name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m] is lovely! [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Promise[/name_f] would be amazing as well and a wonderful tribute to the possible date of your daughter’s arrival.
I vote [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m] although [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Promise[/name_f] would be amazing as well. I like [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] too but considering your niece’s name I think [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] is better/less confusing in the long run.
I personally love Marlowe most - it rolls off the tongue more naturally when said aloud, and bc Hadley is similar to Haddie, that just reinforced my choice.
I definitely see [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] being shortened to [name_f]Haddie[/name_f] by other people. And if you have another [name_f]Haddie[/name_f] in the family it might get confusing
Plus I love [name_f]Caraline[/name_f] & [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f]! They honestly look so good together and they’re just such a sweet sibset!
If this baby is due [name_m]New[/name_m] Year’s [name_f]Day[/name_f] i think [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m] is a sweet nod to her being born around [name_m]Christmas[/name_m] time!
This is so hard i think i do prefer [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] just a tiny bit and [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Bell[/name_m] is cute. Its just charm, sweetness and sass
Agreeing with others, [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] is definitely the way to go with your nieces name. [name_f]Caraline[/name_f] & [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] sound great together. All three middle names are lovely. I personally like the sounds of [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] and [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m] best, but [name_f]Promise[/name_f] is a nice complement to [name_f]Hope[/name_f]. Congratulations!
It’s exciting that you’ve narrowed your names down to a final two!
From the two options my favourite is [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f]! I have always really liked [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] the name is a lovely unisex option that has a melodic sound, feels fashionable, I like the outdoorsy nature connection through the meaning ‘driftwood’ and the trendy nicknames of [name_m]Mars[/name_m], [name_m]Lowe[/name_m] and [name_f]Marley[/name_f]. From the middle name options I absolutely love [name_f]Belle[/name_f]! [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is sparkly, romantic, sweet, has a touch of Christmassy magic and sounds very southern with [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is lovely with Caralin3 H0pe
I think with [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] I don’t love how it’s so unisex, I think that’s why I was leaning towards [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] since it’s girlier. Any other names besides [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] with a similar feel?
Similar to [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] but less unisex… [name_f]Marlene[/name_f], [name_f]Marian[/name_f], [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f]
Similar to Hadley… [name_f]Delaney[/name_f], [name_f]Everly[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Hailey[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m] with [name_f]Caraline[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f].
I think it’s good you’re keeping [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] on the list! Like you said, you won’t see [name_f]Haddie[/name_f] enough for it to really be an every day issue. For [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] I like hadley [name_m]Noel[/name_m] and [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] I like [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f].
I think I like [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] and [name_f]Caraline[/name_f] best together!
