Halley's comet

Halley is a current new name crush for me, I love the association of Halley’s Comet as astrology is absolutely incredible, so it seems perfect. The spelling confuses, however I love both the Halley & Hallie spellings of the name.

also would Halley Estelle be too astrological? :brown_heart:

Thank you.

I love Hallie!! If I didn’t have a friend with the name, I’d try to use it myself 🩷

I think the spelling difference is a good idea because apparently the singer of the song Second [name_u]Chance[/name_u] (I just saw Halley’s [name_u]Comet[/name_u], she waved; [name_m]Said[/name_m] "why you always running in place?) didn’t realize it wasn’t [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] because I am almost certain he says Hailey’s comet haha. Awk for him!

[name_u]Halley[/name_u] is beautiful! I have comet on my list to honor the song by the same name! :dizzy:

I see how the spelling can be confusing! I’ve heard people pronounce halley both hay-lee and like alley with an h so it depends on how you want to pronounce it. I believe [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] is usually pronounced like alley, however it would no longer have the direct connection to the comet.

no matter what, it’s a stellar name and stellar connection :comet:

I really like [name_u]Halley[/name_u] pn HAL-ee, if I met someone with that name I’d definitely assume they were named for the comet and I’d think it was so so cool.

[name_u]Halley[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is so pretty. Personally I don’t think it’s too much! It’s themey but in a good way, sparkly and totally wearable :sparkles:

[name_u]Halley[/name_u] is intriguing and warm and starry - I like it!!

I think “Hallie” somehow looks a lot nicer and more of a full name than “Halley”, which looks more like a nickname and would probably often get mistaken for [name_u]Haley[/name_u] or [name_f]Hailey[/name_f]. However, I don’t think that it’s too astrological, even with the middle name [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], since I don’t think most people would know its meaning (I didn’t know that it meant star until I clicked on it here)

Halley is a lovely pick! I instinctively pronounce this spelling as Hayley, not Hallie, but I like it both ways. :dizzy:

Given the prominence of the star meaning of Estelle especially in relation to languages other than English… I think yes, this combo reads highly space-inspired. But do I like it any less for that? Absolutely not. It’s lovely! (Though, Hallie Estelle would read less space-y if that is something you’re concerned for!)
