I agree with suggestions for using a more unisex/feminine name that still honours. [name_u]Harley[/name_u] would be my choice because it’s only one letter different. Or using it as a middle name.
The question is, if you were having a boy and wanted to name after a female member of the family - say [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u], [name_u]Allison[/name_u] or [name_u]Camryn[/name_u] - would you still straight up use the name? Or would you change the spelling e.g. [name_u]Cameron[/name_u], use a related name, or definitely only consider it for the middle spot?
If you would still 100% just use the name no changes made, then sure, name your daughter [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] - but make sure you name any brothers something equally gender bending. If you’d be hesitant to use a ‘traditionally female’ name as a first name for a son, but think it’s cute/spunky to use a ‘traditionally male’ name for your daughter, then I don’t think you should use it. It’s just adding layers and layers of gender bias.
So a similar name or middle name only, would be my advice.
