[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I love [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] so much and need some help… What could [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] be short for? [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] is ok but please tell me others or make me love [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]!
What do you prefer for [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]; [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] or [name_m]Pilot[/name_m]? I know [name_m]Pilot[/name_m] is weird but I find it dreamy! I don’t like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] but if you can’t think of any others please say!
Can you think of more names like this? I also love [name_f]Dodie[/name_f] for [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]…
[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!
I could get [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] from [name_m]Pilot[/name_m], but not [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], perhaps. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]? [name_f]Carlotta[/name_f]? [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]?
For [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], you could try [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], Hathaway, [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], maybe even [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
Other suggestions:
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_f]Dot[/name_f] / [name_f]Dottie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Letitia[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kittie[/name_f]
[name_f]Melusine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]! It’s quite old-fashioned but unique, in a good way.
For [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] makes the most sense if you don’t like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I am partial to [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] for [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. The sounds don’t exactly match up but neither do they with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], so it’s fine.
I’d steer away from [name_m]Pilot[/name_m] unless you want people asking her (and you) if she has a brother named [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] and a sister named Firefighter. It’s just a bit silly.
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f], hm, I do think she can stand alone (as can [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], just maybe not in a sibset), I personally love [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] but it’s not for everyone.
Out of the options for [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_m]Pilot[/name_m] make the most sense. There’s also Liselotte or even Elliotte.
For [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], Humility, and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]. But [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] is fine on its own

Besides [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] makes the most sense for [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] (though I love the name [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]).
I think [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] can stand on its own, but as a previous poster said, I think you could make the case for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] (besides [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]).

If you’re feeling adventurous–Hatshepsut, Hathor, Arundhati.
I adore [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]! I would plan on getting it from [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (I say [name_f]Violet[/name_f] like VYE-luht, so [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] doesn’t seem that far off to me, especially with the “O” in the name already), but I also really like the idea of [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. I suppose you could get it from any -let name, like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], Adalet, [name_f]Lieselotte[/name_f], Hannelotte, [name_f]Carlotta[/name_f], Evolet, etc. I also like [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] I’m sort of stumped on–I think [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]'s super cute, but I can’t get into [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] fully. I’ve considered [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], but I’m not sure I’m keen on the d-to-t switch? It seems a bit forced. “Loddie” and “Haddie” seem to make more sense to [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] to me.
I am a bit stumped otherwise, though. Hopefully others have some good ideas!
Good luck!
I love Aloutte, nn could be [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
My sister is [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], that’s her full name. But we elongate it sometimes and call her Hattabelle. I really like that too! So her nn is longer than the original, but you could do whatever you like! It’s a beautiful name, one of my favorites.
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] from [name_f]Hester[/name_f] might be too much of a stretch for you. But you could use the very similar [name_f]Hettie[/name_f]?
I was playing around with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] combos, and one I came up with was [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Therese[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] could definitely be a nickname for that combo (or any other combo that has the Ha/T sounds).
Good luck
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t seen [name_f]Heather[/name_f] mentioned yet as a longer form of [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. It’s a little dated but I know a teenage [name_f]Heather[/name_f] nn [name_f]Hetty[/name_f] who wears both very well.
I like Hatton for [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. It is a surname that would work as a great, unique unisex name.
