Have you ever heard this name used in person/wdyt?

I’m liking the name [name_f]Faline[/name_f] a lot lately, I remember I loved it as a child (bc of [name_f]Bambi[/name_f]) and would name my dolls [name_f]Faline[/name_f]. Now it’s hard to say what the name really “feels like” bc Im biased. What do you all think of the name [name_f]Faline[/name_f]? (I also like the meaning bc my eyes are very cat-like and as a child you couldn’t keep me out of trees/climbing heights haha)

I think its cute. A lot better than some of the boy names girls have.

It’s okay. I’d think it would get heard as [name_f]Selene[/name_f] a lot.

I like it.

I’ve never heard it used in real life. Honestly, my first thought is “feline”. I don’t like this name very much at all.

I can only think about feline. Dislike, sorry.

My mother is Philina, and she is always getting complimented on her unique name.

I think it’s lovely. I’m from the Netherlands, where the similar [name_f]Feline[/name_f] (pronunciation like fay-lee-nuh) is an actual popular given name, I love that so much as well and would use it in a heartbeat if it didn’t mean something entirely different in English.

When pp mentioned her mother’s name Philina, it brought a whole new prospective to the name. Spelled this way would be fine but I dislike the [name_f]Faline[/name_f] spelling.

I think [name_f]Faline[/name_f] is very beautiful! My daughter is named [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] and I am a bit prejudiced!

[name_f]Faline[/name_f] looks a lot like feline so I’m not liking it as a name for a person. I do like Philina, which a pp mentioned.

Not a fan.

It’s sort of cute but I think of feline and saline. Philina is a more appealing suggestion imo.

never heard it… its quite neutral to me… I dont love it and I dont mind it either… its almost like my grannys last name (when she was a girl) tho
