Hazel Jade — Too green?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I’m a namenerd toying with name combos and farrrrr from pregnant. My current name crush is [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]; I love the sound of it and the meaning of it too!
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] is after my brother. He passed away 5 years ago and my mom called him [name_f]Jade[/name_f] (his full name is [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_f]Jade[/name_f] sounded better than [name_m]Jave[/name_m] lol). If I ever have kids I’d love to honor my brother, but I feel like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is too green because [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is already a shade of green and [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is associated with green. Thoughts?

Also, while we’re here, can anyone give me any girl or boy names I could use to honor a [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]? Thank you so much!

I think it’s too green. Maybe [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]?

For the boy names I’d suggest [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], it’s a perfect mix of [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] and [name_m]David[/name_m].

It has a good flow, but I feel like maybe it is a little too heavily associated with ‘green’. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds similar, has less green connotation, and can still loosely honor your brother [name_f]Jade[/name_f]. For a boy, honoring [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] with a [name_m]Davis[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] could be cute!

Two word names together do sound a little descriptive to my ears, but it’s really up to you if it’s too green or not.
I’m more bothered by thE way my tongue trips over the L ending of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and the J beginning of [name_f]Jade[/name_f], but that might just be me.

I think [name_m]Nate[/name_m] would be a cute honour name for [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m].

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is a bit wordy. I would probably separate them. [name_f]Davina[/name_f] is a beautiful and underused name, connected to [name_m]David[/name_m], maybe [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Davina[/name_f]? I think that’s quite lovely. You could also skip [name_f]Jade[/name_f] and use [name_f]Jada[/name_f], which gets you away from a double-word name.

I can’t think of any female versions of [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m], but you could maybe give the same initials, JD?

I think it is. What about…
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Junia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is very green, but i think the fact it’s an honour name as well as 2 well established word names, i think you couls get away with it

Other [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] honours:

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Joni[/name_f]/[name_f]Joanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Sian[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Jodie[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jada[/name_f]

I would go with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Jonni[/name_u].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is perfect! [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is a mixture of [name_u]Green[/name_u] and [name_m]Brown[/name_m], not just green.
[name_m]Donavan[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] is a beautiful tribute to your brother.
I also love JD for a nn for his full name.
