Hazy as a nickname for Hazel?

I love the name [name]Hazel[/name] and I love the nickname Hazy for [name]Hazel[/name]…what are y’alls thoughts?

I know there’s a reason I don’t like it, but its a bit hazy…

I love it!

I think [name]Hazel[/name] on its own is lovely, but I think Hazy’s just adorable. I’ve recently added [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] nn Hazy to my own list. I probably wouldn’t use it in public, really, it would just be an occasional nn. I think Hazy’s just really fun and sweet. I know the connections to hazing, hazy, etc. aren’t great at all, and besides, if it’s mama’s special nn, maybe if kids try to tease her/torture her with it, it’ll seem less harsh/hurt less? Yeah, that was a feeble attempt at making Hazy more usable/likeable, but oh, well, haha. I still really like it.

I love [name]Hazel[/name], but not the nickname Hazy.

I like [name]Hazel[/name] a lot!

I agree with the other posters about Hazy, not a good nickname. I though of a person with a ring of pot smoke around them when I read that. [name]Hazel[/name] is so pretty, it doesn’t need a nickname.

LMAO

I don’t think Hazy works well as a nickname.

Hazy makes me think of hazing, bad connection. [name]Elle[/name] as an alternative?

[name]Hazel[/name] is lovely, Hazy has negative connotations.

Hazy seems goofy to me, and I don’t think [name]Hazel[/name] needs a nickname at all.
