Hebrew for Pauline?

We are considering naming our child after a deceased relative named [name]Pauline[/name]. No one unfortunately seems to know her Hebrew name. Does anyone happen to know common Hebrew names that [name]Pauline[/name]'s might have?

[name]Pauline[/name] is Hebrew. It comes from the name [name]Paul[/name].

[name]Pauline[/name] is Hebrew. It comes from the name [name]Paul[/name].[/quote]

[name]Paul[/name] comes from Latin “small” or “humble”.

Anavah is Hebrew for humility (double check that I’m not a Hebrew speaker). I think that would make a pretty name.

No, sorry! Perhaps you could use [name]Pauline[/name] as a mn?

My grandfather’s name was [name]Paul[/name]. His hebrew name was [name]Pesach[/name] (yes, like the holiday, lol) which apparently can be used for either gender because it’s my Hebrew name.

[name]Hi[/name]! That is so nice you are naming after a deceased relative. I think it’s such a wonderful tribute.

[name]How[/name] about the name [name]Penina[/name]? Pronunciation is puhnina. You can spell it a variety of ways. (Pinina, P’nina, [name]Penina[/name], Panina) It means pearl, which I also think is interesting that the meaning beings with a “p” as an added tribute to [name]Pauline[/name]. There aren’t too many hebrew names that begin with a “p”, but i think its beautiful, though i am impartial, as it is one of my two hebrew names!
