Also, I know this name will not appeal to many people. Right now I’m really looking more for opinions on whether altering the name works or will be scorned rather than opinions on whether you like the name or not. Thank you!
I think adding the e in particular makes it easier for most Americans to understand how to pronounce. Im not familiar with the ame so cant really say weather or not it would be deemed inappropriate to change the spelling, but i think in this day and age you can spell pretty much anything however you want in the states. its not an uncommon practice. I say go for it.
Is just [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] an option? It’s a great name [name_f]IMO[/name_f], and I think would much reduce spelling/pronunciation issues.
Forgot to say, another more unusual option might be [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f]/Adelheidis (or the anglicised [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]), from which [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] is derived…
I would just use [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] it [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f].
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] makes it male. I think you should use either the original or not at all, honestly. At least in my language, the second syllable is short - it’s pronounced almost like ‘run’.
