Hello! I wanted to introduce myself … my name is [name]Elizabeth[/name]! I have been checking out Nameberry for some time now. My husband and I are not expecting yet (and plan to wait for a year or two), but I still just love learning about babynames! I wanted to introduce myself, and share our current name list for opinions. My husband is really picky … so our list is pretty slim right now. For a boy we have both agreed to [name]Henry[/name]/[name]Henri[/name]. A girl though … we have yet to agree on anything.
I love french names ([name]Leonie[/name], [name]Jolie[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Amelie[/name], [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Madeleine[/name]) … but I can’t seem to get my husband totally on board. I also love classic, vintage-y/floral names ([name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Bryony[/name] etc.). We have agreed to using [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Kate[/name] as a middle name for a daughter, because it is my sister’s name and we would like to honor her.
My husband likes the names [name]Cadence[/name], [name]Natasha[/name], [name]Ella[/name] and is beginning to appreciate [name]Josephine[/name] (with the nickname [name]Josie[/name]). We were stuck on [name]Ella[/name] for a while (to honor my grandmother; [name]Carmella[/name]), but I know soooo many little [name]Ella[/name]'s that I don’t know that we would go that route anymore.
Based on our current list … I would love to hear your creative suggestions! Thank you thank you!
[name]Hi[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], and welcome! (I love your name.)
I absolutely love [name]Henry[/name] and so many of your favorites, especially [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Amelie[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], and [name]Juliet[/name].
[name]Leonie[/name], [name]Amelie[/name], [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], and [name]Rose[/name] work best with [name]Katherine[/name] to me, but I love [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Kate[/name], too.
[name]Welcome[/name] to Nameberry, [name]Elizabeth[/name]!
[name]Love[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and, like [name]Jill[/name], I love [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. Also love [name]Leonie[/name], [name]Leona[/name], [name]Leonora[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], and pretty much any name that sounds like
[name]Leo[/name]. [name]Love[/name] lions. Also I love [name]Lenore[/name] and [name]Laura[/name]. [name]Katherine[/name] is a great middle name. When it isn’t working with a first name, try [name]Kathleen[/name], [name]Kitty[/name], or [name]Kate[/name]. Or even [name]Kathryn[/name] or [name]Kathlyn[/name].
[name]Hi[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name]! I honestly love most of your names, especially the vintage ones! And, I’m in love with [name]Henry[/name] - I want to use it for my first son!
As for a good name for a girl, what about [name]Arabella[/name]? It still has that “-ella” ending, yet it is more interesting than the popular [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Gabriella[/name], and it has a classic, British, elegance that I love! [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], depending on the length of your last name (short!) would sound excellent! Or, try [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Kate[/name] for a longer last name! You don’t have to call her [name]Ella[/name], either - you could use [name]Bella[/name] (ha!) or even [name]Ari[/name] (R-ee)! Good luck, and if you don’t care for this one, maybe [name]Lydia[/name] or [name]Caroline[/name] suit your style (but the name should probably end in -a to go with [name]Katherine[/name]). So [name]Viola[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Sarah[/name]?
