Newbie here…I kept finding myself coming on here many times a day so figured I might as well just join (did yesterday)
I’m currently expecting babies # 3 & 4 who are due on [name]April[/name] 5…they just so happen to be our second b/g set of twins(big siblings [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] & [name]Ella[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] are 13 months old).
My husband and I have come up with 2 names and we would just like to know what people think of them.
[name]Henry[/name] [name]William[/name] (we both really love the name [name]Henry[/name] even though it’s a bit unusual for around here (Eastern [name]Canada[/name]) & we just love the meanings of both names but we’re wondering if maybe it sounds a bit too “royal” or maybe if the name would be better if the names were switched… )
&
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] ([name]Amelia[/name] was actually the first name that popped into my head when I found out I was pregnant and I fell in love with it…[name]Lily[/name] for my favorite flower & [name]Rose[/name] for my husband’s but we’re kind of afraid it’s a little too flowery-cutesy name and wonder if we should maybe just stick with [name]Lily[/name] as the middle name).
I think all of the names go beautifully together. I personally prefer [name]Henry[/name] [name]William[/name] to [name]William[/name] [name]Henry[/name], but I think [name]William[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is a nice name as well, especially with the nickname [name]Liam[/name]. [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] is a great name. I like [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lily[/name] better, but there’s nothing wrong with the other option either.
Congratulations on the twins and welcome to nameberry!
[name]Henry[/name] is a well loved name here on nameberry so it is not the least bit unusual for us.
[name]Amelia[/name] is the prettiest of names and I love the nn’s of [name]Mia[/name], [name]Amy[/name], [name]Melia[/name] or [name]Leah[/name]
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] sound lovely as a sibset.
I do think that [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] is sweet but with the elegant [name]Sofia[/name] as the middle for your first daughter I think I would prefer to have just one name in the middle spot.
One suggestion is [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] I found out that I was getting a bit tongue tied saying [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] together.
[name]Henry[/name] [name]William[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] sound just right to me.
[name]Henry[/name] [name]William[/name] - I think this combo is gorgeous! It’s classic, cute, ages well, and is generally handsome. It’s a perk that it’s unusual there too, it’s pretty common here in the UK. I don’t think it sounds too royal, but since both names are common here that’s probably why I don’t automatically associate it with the princes. Regardless, I’d say go for it
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] - I adore [name]Amelia[/name], and would definitely use it if it wasn’t so common here. I do think [name]Lily[/name]-[name]Rose[/name] is a bit much though. I think you should either go for [name]Lily[/name] OR [name]Rose[/name], or use variants of them: e.g. [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lilian[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rosanna[/name] etc.
