Hi Lovelies
Needing objective advice.
Our daughters first name is Esme (pronounced Ez-MAY)
Having another girl and Hubby wants to use Maeve (pronounced MAY-ve) as her MIDDLE name.
Is this odd as they are very similar sounding??
Thankyou!!!

I don’t think [name_f]Esme[/name_f] _____ and _____ [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are too close! Of course, I don’t think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] would be appropriate for the first name, but as a middle, it’s fine
Also [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are darling name choices
I think since it would be in the middle it’s fine.
Seconding the above, as a middle name [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] seems great.
It might even be seet for sisters to share somewhat similar names as a nice little connection between them!
I think it’s fine for a middle name!
For first names I think they’d be too similar, but for a first and a middle I don’t think it’s an issue!
I don’t think it’s an issue !
Nah, its 100% ok.
Since [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] would be a middle, it’s completely fine imo
I asked a similar question the other day about [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] (middle) and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] (first) and my poll consensus was over 90% that it’s fine, in case that helps! But I totally get why you’re thinking about it! [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are both lovely names
Personally I think as [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is the middle name it’s absolutely fine! Such lovely names
I think it’s fine since it’s going to be a middle name
As a middle name, I don’t think it’s a problem
I think it’s fine.
I think they work just fine! Especially since one is a middle name and one is a first name!
