[name]Hi[/name] all! I’ve been searching this site religiously for months now and I still can’t make a decision on the perfect name I’m not sure what my “style” is. I want a name that has history but is also beautiful, bold, uncommon, and exotic. I’m having a very hard time finding anything I love. For a boy the name would have been [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Lux[/name]. The girls names on my list at the moment (although it seems to change daily)-
[name]Arabella[/name] (is this overkill with the [name]Bella[/name] craze or diff enuf?) [name]Seraphina[/name]/Xeraphina (I don’t like [name]Sara[/name] as a nn, is it inevitable?) [name]Suri[/name] (did [name]Tom[/name] cruise ruin it?) [name]Soleil[/name] (would Americans butcher it?), [name]Romilly[/name], [name]Cecily[/name]/[name]Sicily[/name] (i like this bc my gpa’s name is [name]Cecil[/name] but I dont want people to pn is ceecily so maybe spell the S way?) [name]Italy[/name], [name]India[/name], [name]Italia[/name], [name]Aria[/name], [name]Sephora[/name] (too store related?) [name]Minka[/name], [name]Story[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Poet[/name]
For middles I love [name]Snow[/name]. Also [name]Wynter[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] or any of the above.
I don’t like nn like addy and maddy just bc they’re overused. I love [name]Adelaide[/name] but addy ruined it for me. I dont like kre8tif spellings either

I like [name]Arabelle[/name]; it is a little less trendy as many of your other names are. Good luck. I can’t help too much but I am sure whatever name you chose will be perfect for your new kiddo :). [name]Arabella[/name] is ok too but [name]Arabelle[/name] sounds better to me.
I like [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Vera[/name], and [name]Romilly[/name]. They’re all quite pretty. I don’t think people would mispronounce [name]Cecily[/name]. (I also just have to say that yes, [name]Sephora[/name] is way too store related!) I think [name]Suri[/name] is pretty but the celebrity association kind of ruins it for me. [name]Soleil[/name] is also nice, but pronunciation probably would be a problem for many people.
I think [name]Noelle[/name] sounds great as a middle name with [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Vera[/name], or [name]Romilly[/name]! I wouldn’t mind [name]Winter[/name] with any of them either, but I’m not a fan of [name]Wynter[/name]. I hear you about [name]Adelaide[/name]—I love it, but I wouldn’t want my child to be mistaken for an [name]Addison[/name]. I think it would definitely work in the middle name spot, though–[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] or [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] are both very pretty.
I actually like [name]Mercedes[/name] a lot! I was thinking [name]Sadie[/name] for a nn but never thought of mercy! [name]Tirzah[/name] is really interesting too… [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] from amy’s list is also pretty

I seriously don’t know if any one is more usuable then the next. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Siri[/name] as an alternative for [name]Suri[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you care about the connection between the store and the name? It isn’t the worst thing to share a name with. About [name]Soleil[/name]- you’d just have to tell people how to pronounce properly. They’re such beautiful names, not much can ruin them. That’s my opinion :).

I love suri I’m just not sure if I’m brave enuf to use it. [name]Siri[/name] is just as pretty but I think that’s the new iPhone voice? [name]Suri[/name] actually goes back pretty far and has a lot of history which I love but I’d always have to defend it… I was on the subject of names with a friends and I asked her what she thought of sephora and she launched into this long Convo about oh ya they have my fav mascara and they had a sale… On and on. So I just assumed everyone would do that. But if you really break the name down and listen to it it is beautiful. Maybe I just need to grow some ahem and not think about how others will judge…
My first thought for you in terms of a suggestion was/is the name [name]Thessaly[/name] (pr. ‘Thess-ah-lee’). Personally, I really like it, and it seems to fit right in among the names you had mentioned in your first post on this thread.
I adore [name]Cecily[/name] & would definitely keep that spelling, too! [name]Soleil[/name] is a name I have liked for quite some time…I think it’s beautiful & love the meaning behind the name.
