Help! Brother for Kellan John

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] boy due in 3 wks and we just can’t decide on a name. Big brother is [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]. I like strong names and Irish names but doesn’t have to be. I also don’t like names that are too too popular, for example I like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] but there are a million Liams right now! We already have an [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Grant[/name_m], [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], [name_u]Corbin[/name_u], [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] ([name_u]Jamie[/name_u]) in our family (ah so many boys!)

From your short list, I like [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] most as a brother to [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]. I went to school with a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and he was never called [name_m]Dan[/name_m] or [name_u]Danny[/name_u], always [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. Although it may be too popular.

I know how you feel about so many little boys. All on dh’s side, we have 13 nephews & one niece. Tons of great boy names taken!

Here are my thoughts-

[name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]-This is a nice name & goes really well w/Kellan. I do think that it’s pretty popular though. I feel like I meet little tykes called this a lot.

[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]-Also kind of popular. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is a beautiful name, but I’m w/you. [name_m]Dan[/name_m] & [name_u]Danny[/name_u] aren’t nearly as good. They may be somewhat unavoidable. If you preferred [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] but were okay w/the nns, I’d say go for it. But if you really dislike them I wouldn’t use [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].
