Hello! I’m currently trying to change my name to a more gender neutral name. I’m stuck between two right now. A little about me, I’m a scientist (biology), my hobbies are hiking, drawing, video games, and reading. I have purple hair that I wear short. I consider myself more introverted.
I would love to hear people’s opinion or other suggestions; or you can just vote and that would also be helpful.
I like both these options but chose [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] for two reasons. It feels slightly less expected to me [name_f][/name_f]- if I met a purple haired video gaming biologist I’d be slightly more excited to find that they were called [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] than [name_m]Devin[/name_m]. But that’s just personal choice! [name_m]The[/name_m] second reason was that I like the nature connection for you. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps!
I like [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] for the nature / biology / hiking link [name_f][/name_f]- it feels distinctive but gentle at the same time.
[name_f][/name_f]
That said, I guess it depends if you want[name_f][/name_f] your name to stand out more and feel unexpected?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Aspen[/name_f] is a bolder choice, while [name_m]Devin[/name_m] has the practical appeal of being well established and having had a history of being in the charts as a neutral name. [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] is still comparatively new in that sense.
[name_f][/name_f]
Still, I do enjoy [name_f]Aspen[/name_f] and would be pleased to see it

[name_m]Dallas[/name_m], [name_m]Adair[/name_m], [name_m]Forest[/name_m], [name_f]Sasha[/name_f] and [name_m]Linden[/name_m] also came to mind
