Hello, this is my first post on here, such great site and everyone seems helpfully here!
Looking for help to find perfect girl’s name! I would like quite a long name, 2/3 syllables, to go with a short surname
I’d like quite a pretty, feminine name that can be shortened to something cute. Eg, [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] to [name_f]Dotty[/name_f]/[name_f]Dolly[/name_f] or [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] to [name_f]Lulu[/name_f].
I have a son called [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and I quite like H names to go with his. I love [name_u]Harper[/name_u] but everyone seems to dislike this due to the beckham connection.
I like old fashioned names or names from books/ history etc but nothing too crazy!
The first name that came to mind was [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] - begins with H, pretty, feminine, long, old-fashioned, can be shortened to something cute ([name_f]Etta[/name_f]/[name_f]Hetty[/name_f]/[name_f]Hattie[/name_f])
Other H names - [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_u]Hillary[/name_u], [name_f]Holiday[/name_f], [name_f]Honora[/name_f], [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
lol, exactly, the nicknames are what totally make [name_u]Harper[/name_u] unusable to me.
You go between a ‘ravenous, filthy monster’ and ‘one who dwells on something tediously’
I do think [name_u]Piper[/name_u] is pretty though.
Some fab suggestions, I really like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], been thinking a lot about that today. [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and piper are pretty too.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] is lovely and fits [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] nicely tho I struggle with a nickname.
I saw on another thread [name_f]Evalena[/name_f] which I really like and could nn to [name_f]Evie[/name_f], super cute!
Incidentally, how do you pronounce [name_f]Noa[/name_f]? Is it the same as [name_u]Noah[/name_u]? I think it looks so pretty but might be confusing as is quite a popular boys name.
