Hello. My partner and I live in [name]Oxford[/name], UK.
Am currently 25 weeks pregnant with our third baby- we have a five year-old, Emeric, and a four year-old, [name]Roisin[/name].
We’ve talked over names a bit, and come up with a few we both like-
[name]Tabitha[/name] was on the list for each pregnancy, we both like [name]Ivy[/name] but feel its too trendy now, and I love the name [name]Anouk[/name] and also [name]Anoushka[/name] but my partner finds them cutesy (and I do worry as well that they may be a little ‘chocolate box’)
As far as gender- its looking like a girl, but we’re going to have a boys’ name ready just in case. Find it very hard to find boys names we both like- I’m a big fan of [name]Augustin[/name] but my partner says it feels too formal, whilst [name]Gus[/name] feels too little boy. He likes [name]Willem[/name] but I think it just sounds like someone’s trying to invent a less common [name]William[/name]!
Basically- we need a little help!
I love [name]Tabitha[/name]. It sounds great with your other names. Haha I love that- ‘chocolate box’.
As for a boy, what about [name]August[/name]? You could call him [name]Gus[/name] when he’s young. If not, [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Harrison[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Roman[/name], [name]Simon[/name], and [name]Jonah[/name] are all great names.
I’m in the US, so I may be totally off-base with the following suggestions. I do think [name]Tabitha[/name] is just adorable. Makes me think of [name]Tabitha[/name] Twitchit, from [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. Maybe you could call her [name]Cat[/name] or [name]Kit[/name] sometimes for short. [name]Augustin[/name] feels a little fusty formal to me, and I agree with you about [name]Willem[/name].

[name]Lowri[/name]
[name]Bethan[/name]
[name]Lois[/name]
[name]Maude[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name]
Doryty (Cornish version of [name]Dorothy[/name]) nn [name]Dot[/name]!
[name]Montgomery[/name] nn [name]Monty[/name]
[name]Heath[/name]
[name]Victor[/name]
[name]Timothy[/name] ([name]Tabitha[/name]'s male counterpart, imo)
[name]Kenneth[/name]
[name]Duncan[/name]
Emeric and [name]Roisin[/name] are fantastic names! I really like [name]Tabitha[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] (only 310 babies last year, ranked at 168) and [name]Anoushka[/name]. For a boy I think [name]Willem[/name] is really cute. And I like [name]Emma[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Victor[/name].
Some suggestions:
[name]Tamsin[/name], [name]Saskia[/name], [name]Sorrel[/name], [name]Teagan[/name], [name]Moira[/name], [name]Nadia[/name], [name]Nicola[/name], [name]Una[/name], [name]Frida[/name], [name]Marni[/name], [name]Annika[/name], [name]Arwen[/name]
[name]Winston[/name], [name]Brett[/name], [name]Rupert[/name], [name]Damien[/name], [name]Lucien[/name], [name]Otto[/name], [name]Cyrus[/name], [name]Maksim[/name], [name]Sigmund[/name], [name]Ivor[/name]
Great to see people like [name]Tabitha[/name]. I’ve only shared it with one of my best friends, who just gave the feedback of ‘cat name.’ I think the reason I’ve been a little hesitant
Of the suggestions, I really like a few:
[name]Lowri[/name] ([name]How[/name] is this prn. Like Loh-ree or Lah-ree) [name]Maude[/name], [name]Elspeth[/name], [name]Una[/name] (amazing- have considered this name so often! slightly uncanny that you suggested this one. clearly i have more of a ‘style’ than i was aware of) Also like [name]Marni[/name] but think its a little nicknamey…
[name]Victor[/name], [name]Ivor[/name] (also really like [name]Ivo[/name], but the brother of one of [name]Rois[/name]'s ex nursery friends is an [name]Ivo[/name] and I’m not sure if its too uncommon a name to ‘copy’), [name]Otto[/name] and [name]Rupert[/name].
kitkat7 I like some of your names too, in fact both [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Felix[/name] were among my favourites, but both are so so so so popular here that I wouldn’t want to use them now.
Thanks for the suggestions- any more are welcomed
[name]Tabitha[/name] is one of my favorite names of all time! As for [name]Willem[/name], would you be opposed to simply using [name]William[/name]?
