So our first daughters name is [name_f]Capri[/name_f], names after the island in [name_f]Italy[/name_f]. Our second daughter is named [name_f]Siena[/name_f] (we happened to love both these names and both are cities in [name_f]Italy[/name_f]).
Now I’m due with my 3rd daughter in 3 weeks and we haven’t agreed/found on a name. Any and all suggestions welcome.
Our thoughts are:
We prefer to stick with a city in [name_f]Italy[/name_f], but it’s very limited, as we want the name to sound like a name and not just a city, if that makes sense.
We are open to a city name outside of [name_f]Italy[/name_f]… currently my first choice is [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], but I don’t necessarily love the name.
I wasn’t sure of all my Italian towns, so I had to look on here: Italian Cities & Towns. You may find some I missed. Good luck in finding a name you love.
[name_u]Adria[/name_u]
[name_f]Alba[/name_f]
Biella → there is a name on here spelled [name_f]Biela[/name_f], so this wouldn’t be to far off
[name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
[name_f]Enna[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Gala[/name_f]
[name_f]Genoa[/name_f]
[name_f]Giulia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Ravenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Sicily[/name_f]
[name_f]Venice[/name_f]
[name_f]Verona[/name_f]
[name_f]Vincenza[/name_f]
If you like Syndey, [name_f]Sicily[/name_f] seems perfect!
I also love the suggestions of [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_u]Lucca[/name_u], [name_f]Venice[/name_f], [name_f]Alba[/name_f], [name_u]Milan[/name_u], [name_f]Verona[/name_f] and [name_f]Bronte[/name_f]. What a great theme to have! I’d stick with it if you can
Very best of luck, and welcome to the Nameberry community!
I like [name_u]Milan[/name_u]! There are also:
[name_f]Genoa[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Vittoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Verona[/name_f]
Remini
Messina
[name_f]Nera[/name_f]
[name_f]Andria[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] (region in [name_f]Italy[/name_f])
Sicily and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] are beautiful! I also think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] go really well with your daughters’ names.
I love the name [name_f]Mila[/name_f] (short for [name_u]Milan[/name_u]?). [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] after Reggio [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], or [name_f]Cora[/name_f] after ‘Corato’
