We are narrowoing down our boys list. My husband does not mind “common” and prefers [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. I would like something a little different…[name_m]Even[/name_m] though I like [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], I’m afraid there will be 5 others in his class at school. Any opinions on [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] ([name_m]Jack[/name_m]), [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] ([name_m]Lenny[/name_m]), [name_u]Murphy[/name_u], or [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]?? Which would you choose?
Not a fan of [name_u]Murphy[/name_u], but the other names are very cute! I think [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] would make a cute middle name for any of these names.
[name_m]Lennon[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] ([name_m]Favorite[/name_m]!)
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] is very common near me. My favorite out of your list is [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], if the strong namesake doesn’t bother you (it appeals to me). [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] is okay, but I don’t care for [name_u]Murphy[/name_u].
I have been in loveeee with [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] lately. [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] is cute.
I love [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] & [name_m]Lennon[/name_m], especially [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
I love [name_u]Murphy[/name_u]. It feels so spunky and friendly to me.
In order of preference:
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u]
[name_m]Lennon[/name_m]
The first two sound strong, aren’t uncommon, have patriotic connotations. [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] as a first name reminds me of [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] [name_m]Brown[/name_m], and although I liked the show, that’s what pops into my head. [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] sounds cool and trendy, but what if your son doesn’t share your taste in music when he grows up?..
In order of preference:
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_m]Lennon[/name_m]
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u]
I agree with mimiottawa regarding [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] & [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]. I’m not a huge fan of [name_m]Lennon[/name_m], but I can’t get behind [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] because 1) [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] [name_m]Brown[/name_m] was the name of a woman and 2) I know two people that named their dogs [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] [Irish families]
I like [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] and [name_m]Lennon[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] throwing the idea to you of [name_m]Lennox[/name_m]?
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u] is unusual as a fn but I think it would grow on people.
I love [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] ([name_m]Lenny[/name_m])…[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] comes in close second though! ; )
I love [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m],[name_m]Lennon[/name_m] ( or even better [name_m]Lennox[/name_m]) & [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] !!! Very handsome names.
I never like [name_u]Murphy[/name_u]. I think it’s sound old & imo you have better names.
For all I would choose [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] with [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] close second.
My vote is for [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]. I like [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] a lot too, but it definitely has a distinct surnamey vibe to it. [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] is nice, but it is really really popular (at least in the US). [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] I don’t like at all, not sure exactly why.
Also, with [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] you can use the awesome nn [name_m]Link[/name_m].
I totally agree! It’s my favorite on your list. [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] sounds clunky to me, I prefer [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] or [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m].
