hello all,

My sister recently had a baby and decided to name her [name]Annette[/name] in honor of our grandmother who passed away recently. [name]Annette[/name] is a beautiful name but I think it’s too old for this cute little girl.

I’ve suggested to my sister about giving the baby a more modern middle name, so the child can have an option of using the first name or middle name. She loves this idea, but we are unable to come up with a middle name that will work well with [name]Annette[/name].

Please help.

Congrats to your sister! [name]Annette[/name] is a lovely name. I actually don’t feel like [name]Annette[/name] is ‘too old’ for a little girl, but I can understand the desire to pair it with a more modern-sounding name.

Has she thought about using the nn [name]Annie[/name]? Its a timeless nick name that I think would work for a cute little girl.
