Help me fall in love again with these names 🎻

  • Charlotte
  • Ginevra
  • Clara & Clarice
  • Athena / Atena
  • Adelaide
  • Jennifer
  • Maybe Anastasia? I still like this name a lot and it used to be my favourite name but it does not give me that magical vibe anymore yet I still like it so much.

These are some of the names that I used to love but for some reason I don’t like them that much anymore. Still think they are pretty but they just don’t give me that vibe anymore, you know, especially Charlotte. Feel free to add descriptions, songs, references, exc. Or to add aesthetics, what they mean to you, cool middles, the type of the vibe it gives, pros of the name exc.

You don’t have to do them all just the ones you feel comfortable with.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]: [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is such a soft and sweet name, yet perfectly suits a strong woman. It’s timeless and classic. If you’re into aesthetics, I must say, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] fits into all those aesthetics. From cottagecore to light academia, you can find [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] fitting in every one of them. It doesn’t have any particular negative associations.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f]: As with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is a name that can be pictured on a old woman and an infant. No negative connotations. It won’t be misspelt or mispronounced since it’s such a well-established name.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f]: I am so, so glad you have this name in your list. Personally, I plan on naming my daughter, if I ever have one, [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. It’s such a beautiful, delicate name, but the association to the Greek [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] of Strategic Warfare, [name_u]Wisdom[/name_u] and Handicrafts makes it even stronger. If you’re into any sort of academia aesthetic, it’s common knowledge that Greek mythology plays a major role in them. [name_f]Athena[/name_f] bridges the gap between classic and modern.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]: [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] too ranks in my Top 20 list for baby names, as do [name_f]Athena[/name_f] & [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. It is traditional but still a rare name. It screams of intellect and royalty, as evidenced by the numerous Queens and Princesses of Europe who bear the name.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]: [name_f]My[/name_f] primary association with [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is Grand Duchess [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Nikolaevna of [name_f]Russia[/name_f]. It also has Greek origins which like [name_f]Athena[/name_f], come under academic aesthetics. It is long with plenty of nickname possibilities such as [name_f]Ana[/name_f], [name_u]Stacy[/name_u], [name_f]Stasia[/name_f], [name_f]Sia[/name_f], [name_f]Tasia[/name_f], [name_u]Asta[/name_u] et cetera. If I’m correct, you’re name is [name_u]Sasha[/name_u], a Russian name. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] would go wonderfully with [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]!

Good luck!

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts….

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is the definition of class honestly she’s elegant, timeless, classic, regal and full of grace essentially the epitome of classy. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] suits all ages and has sweet nicknames attached. For me [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is pretty pastel colours with dashes of strong royal blues and purples. I have strong [name_f]Victoriana[/name_f] imagery and I think if you teamed her with a cool braver middle name that’d be lovely. Maybe [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]?

Ginerva feels majestic and mystical with a bewitching dark academia vibe. I think she’s striking and has dark moody colours in association with her. I like the idea of Ginerva [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] or Ginerva [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] just adding to the whole dark and moody picture.

How are you pronouncing [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? For me I like KLAARA pronunciation and I’m going to write about this name as if your using that pronunciation as I love gushing about names and I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with this pronunciation! [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is beautiful, classy, sophisticated ballerina name that to me feels wintry and romantic. I love the euro chic feel of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] she’s a princess name and would be perfect for a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby. She’s definitely the name of the angel on top of your [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] tree. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is perfect.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] is a brave striking mythological name that feels strong and for me gives a similar vibe to Ginerva. I think Ginerva & [name_f]Athena[/name_f] would be a great sister pairing with their dark moody bedroom. I association dark colours with her but also fiery reds and golds.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is a strong classic choice that feels charming, graceful and intellectual. I love the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] and I think she has European royalty vibe which is appealing.

[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is such an unexpected name to see and would definitely standout amongst the crowd. I actually like [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] she’s cosy like your favourite jumper on a bright autumnal day! She’s friendly and I like the nickname [name_f]Jen[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] would be really refreshing especially paired with a cool word name like [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u].

Honestly [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] deserves a lot more love she’s brave, striking, rich in history, regal and very elegant. I associate [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] with bright reds, golds and autumnal browns. A really gorgeous name. I love the range of wonderful nicknames and how timeless they all are. Great choice.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

These are the aesthetics I think of with each name.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] : ferns in the rain, books in a window seat, spinning dreams out of the everyday and ordinary things, finding fairy rings in the woods, trying to fit all the newborn kittens into your lap at once, wearing heels and lipstick to the art museum, paintings and botanical drawings tacked to the walls, farmer’s markets in every season, dim light at dusk, frank conversations, oversized sweaters, secretly believing in magic.

[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] : glasses steaming up when you step inside from the cold, going to the drive-through for lattes with extra shots, headphones on the train, a whiff of delicate perfume when you pass by, flipping through vintage records, replaying your favorite song over and over, going to the theatre alone, a night in with your best friend, roots for the villain in fiction but actually strongly believes in justice.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] : frost on a windowpane, ballets and symphonies, the feeling when everything becomes crystal clear in your mind, going to libraries on stormy afternoons, earl grey tea in porcelain cups, piano lessons, long walks when it’s a bit foggy and damp out, sending secret love notes, watching black and white films, the final wisp of smoke when you blow a candle out.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] : peach tea and true crime podcasts, studying inside a coffee shop, loose change saved in glass jars, windows open even when it’s raining, silk dress with trench coat, writing your own book, gold filagree in old buildings, overgrown rose bushes, finding soulmates in literature, art and history, laying on the floor at midnight to contemplate life, always there for the little guy.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] : sunsets and cathedrals, pins in a world map, the air off the ocean or in the mountains, driving with the windows down, vintage glassware with Vietnamese coffee, hats with ribbons and moody floral dresses, prisms casting rainbows across the room, collecting fairytales from across the globe, long handwritten letters, a mini watercolor kit, going on a solo picnic to the woods.

[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] : [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], sunlight through the tree leaves, pink cheeks from being outside a little too long, clicky mechanical keyboards, song lyrics taped to the wall, strumming the guitar as evening falls, pretending fireflies are magical, waking from a nap when everything feels hazy and soft, the faded afterscent of bonfire smoke lingering in your hair, making lemonade from scratch, calling your friend on the phone after a long day.

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] : hand-me-down lockets, secret libraries, daydreaming as you look out the window, dancing in the rain to street musicians, secrets whispered and kept between friends, shop window displays catching your eye, sharing a milkshake, vintage mirrors, making a wish on every penny you find, memorizing lines from your favorite book, smiling at strangers, trying to guess the next song on the radio.

I know these are random and just my interpretation but it was fun to put into words the vibes I associate with each name!

Charlotte’s [name_m]Web[/name_m], botanical illustrations, pink cheeks and ponytails

[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]

[name_f]Ginny[/name_f] Weasley! Intellectual yet not snobby, rainy days at the library

[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]

[name_f]Cheerful[/name_f] checked cardigans, autumn days at school, walking in the rain, plus the lovely Arthurian associations

Sure, I can do that. Here are my impressions of that name  (love it, btw!)

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] : jamming to old vinyls, orange glow and oversized shadows during golden hour, the clink of home-brewed ice coffee, statement sunglasses and clear umbrellas, rough bark against your skin as you hug a tree, trying all the local shops and cafes, sunflowers, heart-to-hearts over ice cream, hazy days and puddles that glisten when the rain has passed.
