I feel like I have way too many names on my boys list. So, I’m asking you guys to make some name combos and also let me know which names you like, don’t like, and why. Which ones I should keep and drop. I’ve put them in lists of what names I’d use for first and middle. So pick from those when making combinations.
First Names:
[name]Abel[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name]
[name]Jacoby[/name]
[name]Keegan[/name]
[name]Kieran[/name]
[name]Killian[/name]
[name]Leon[/name]
[name]Lucan[/name]
Micah (sorry I didn’t see it said Mican… I ment Micah not Mican)
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name]
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name]
[name]Theo[/name]
[name]Zephyr[/name]
Middle Names: (some of the middle names are same as the first names but I like them as middle names too)
I love [name]Lucan[/name], [name]Abel[/name], [name]Simeon[/name], [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Zephyr[/name] from your first name list. I’m not too fond of the K sound first, two syllables, ends in -n names like [name]Cohen[/name], [name]Killian[/name], [name]Keegan[/name] and [name]Kieran[/name] which are very on trend. Some of the others are either too common ([name]Owen[/name], [name]Adrian[/name]) or trendy ([name]Phoenix[/name], [name]Theo[/name], [name]Leon[/name]). I’ve never heard of Mican, I would like just [name]Mica/name. [name]Jacoby[/name] is ok, but I have an aversion to J names, and I don’t like that it’s basically [name]Jacob[/name] with an added Y.
You actually have a really good list, it’s just not really my style, so sorry if I seem a little harsh ^^ I tend to like the more unusual picks.
Combos: (I’m using the middles I like the most :))
[name]Abel[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Abel[/name] [name]Simeon[/name]
[name]Lucan[/name] [name]Sayer[/name]
[name]Lucan[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name] [name]Oakley[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name] [name]Abel[/name]
[name]Silas[/name] [name]Egan[/name]
[name]Silas[/name] [name]Alton[/name]
[name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Lucan[/name]
[name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Oakley[/name]
I also like [name]Severin[/name] and [name]Alastair[/name]/[name]Alasdair[/name], but not Severen or Aleister.
[name]Abel[/name] [name]Severin[/name] or [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Alasdair[/name] would be wonderful!
And [name]Tiernan[/name] is best as [name]Tiernan[/name], you’re not using the Irish spelling of [name]Killian[/name] or [name]Kieran[/name], so I don’t see why you would change that with [name]Tiernan[/name].
I also have to add that I really love [name]Egan[/name], but it’s a little hard to fit in with all the other -n ending names. [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Egan[/name] is very nice along with [name]Silas[/name] [name]Egan[/name]. [name]Sayer[/name] is also a favourite, but there are a lot of S names here
My absolute favourite from your list is [name]Simeon[/name]! I just adore [name]Simeon[/name], and could easily see myself using [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Oakley[/name]. ^^ And if you’re into alliteration, [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Sayer[/name] is pretty nice!
[name]Abel[/name] - I’ve never really liked this one, I do love biblical names but this one just seems unfinished and too close to able.
[name]Adrian[/name] - Seems a bit dated to me
[name]Callum[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this one, not too common and a nice alternative to [name]Connor[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name] - Unless you’re Jewish I wouldn’t use it, I’m not Jewish but I think it might offend someone who is
[name]Jacoby[/name] - I like the more traditional [name]Jacob[/name].
[name]Keegan[/name] - It’s uncommon but familiar, it sounds almost unisex, which is trendy right now.
[name]Kieran[/name] - I love this name. It has the same feel as [name]Keegan[/name]
[name]Killian[/name] - I think this has the same feel as the above to but there is jsut something I don’t like about it
[name]Leon[/name] - It seems too old mannish to me
[name]Lucan[/name] - I like this one, I like [name]Luca[/name]
Mican - I like [name]Micah[/name] better, I don’t like this one
[name]Owen[/name] - I like this, it’s familiar which is good for boys names [name]IMO[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name] - I find this more of a girls name
[name]Silas[/name] - I really like this one. It has a western feel to it which I like.
[name]Simeon[/name] - I like [name]Simon[/name] better
[name]Theo[/name] - I like this as a nickname for [name]Theodore[/name]. I can’t see it as a full name.
[name]Zephyr[/name] - Too unusual for my taste
As for name combonations I like -
[name]Abel[/name] [name]Sidney[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] [name]Elias[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name] [name]Micah[/name]
[name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Slade[/name]
[name]Keegan[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name]
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
[name]Killian[/name] [name]Sayer[/name]
[name]Leon[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Lucan[/name] [name]Oakley[/name]
Mican [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Owen[/name] [name]Anders[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name] [name]Micah[/name]
[name]Silas[/name] [name]Callum[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name] [name]Egan[/name]
[name]Theo[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name]
[name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Abel[/name]
I would keep [name]Callum[/name], [name]Keegan[/name], [name]Kieran[/name], [name]Killian[/name], [name]Lucan[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Silas[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name] – Beautiful sound. I have never seen it on a boy but would love to. Now that you made me think of the name, I hope you don’t mind that I add it to my own long list. I want to see what my husband thinks of it.
[name]Callum[/name] – I think I like this because it reminds me of a game I used to play with my late Grampy that was called Carrom (“CAIR-um”). [name]Happy[/name] memories, cool sound.
[name]Keegan[/name] – I just like the sound of this, and think it works for any age.
[name]Phoenix[/name] – I love the X. I love that it’s not an overused name. I love that it’s exotic but at the same time recognizable.
LEAST favorites:
[name]Abel[/name] – This name just has a hillbilly feel to me. I feel like an [name]Abel[/name] would be…simple.
[name]Jacoby[/name] – To me, this is the name [name]Jacob[/name] turned into an adjective. It looks a bit awkward to me.
[name]Zephyr[/name] – No reason, it’s just not my style at all.
COMBO SUGGESTIONS:
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Anders[/name] – Some people are not fans of alliteration, but I love it, especially in cases like this where the A’s have different sounds.
[name]Adrian[/name] [name]Astaroth[/name] – Same.
[name]Keegan[/name] [name]Elias[/name] – I like the E sound that runs throughout this name.
[name]Silas[/name] - love it! [name]Silas[/name] [name]Egan[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Alton[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Benett[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Keegan[/name]
[name]Owen[/name] - love this name! though it’s different than a lot of your list. [name]Owen[/name] [name]Slade[/name], [name]Owen[/name] [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Owen[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name] - I love this name so much! DH thinks it’s too much like Simian [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Alister[/name], [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Anders[/name], [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Simeon[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Abel[/name] - I like this one a lot! [name]Abel[/name] Severen, [name]Abel[/name] [name]Simeon[/name]
[name]Theo[/name] - I like it. [name]Theo[/name] [name]Addison[/name], [name]Theo[/name] [name]Simeon[/name], [name]Theo[/name] [name]Portland[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name] - okay, but not my favorite on your list, love nn Phin and [name]Nix[/name]. [name]Phoenix[/name] [name]Alton[/name], [name]Phoenix[/name] [name]Oakley[/name], [name]Phoenix[/name] [name]Theo[/name]
[name]Lucan[/name] - okay, not crazy about it but it’s nice. I like [name]Luc[/name] a lot. [name]Lucan[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name], [name]Lucan[/name] [name]Abel[/name], [name]Lucan[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
[name]Callum[/name] - this one is okay. [name]Callum[/name] [name]Anders[/name], [name]Callum[/name] [name]Sayer[/name], [name]Callum[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name]
[name]Keegan[/name] - this one is all right, though I like the nn Key and [name]Egan[/name]. [name]Keegan[/name] [name]Micah[/name], [name]Keegan[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
[name]Kieran[/name] - okay, similar to [name]Keegan[/name]. [name]Kieran[/name] [name]Sayer[/name], [name]Kieran[/name] [name]Elias[/name], [name]Kieran[/name] [name]Oakley[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name] - I like the sound, but not sure it’s worth it. [name]Cohen[/name] [name]Slade[/name], [name]Cohen[/name] [name]Alister[/name],
[name]Zephyr[/name] - not super fond of this as a first though I like the sound and love Zep/Zeph as a nn
[name]Adrian[/name] - I know a girl with this name and immediately hear the name being screamed by [name]Sylvester[/name] Stallone
[name]Jacoby[/name] - the sound is good, but the spelling looks accidental, I don’t like it
[name]Killian[/name] - not fond of the Kill part.
[name]Leon[/name] - meh, nms, right up there with [name]Floyd[/name]
Mican - never heard of it, not sure how to pronounce it
MN:
[name]Astaroth[/name] - the crown prince of hell?
[name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Lucan[/name] (I also like [name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Harris[/name])
[name]Kieran[/name] [name]Theo[/name]
[name]Leon[/name] [name]Anders[/name]
[name]Phoenix[/name] Severen
[name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Owen[/name]
Thanks guys!!
And I’m sorry about the whole Mican thing. It’s actually [name]Micah[/name]… just a typo. xD I’ve never heard of Mican either lulz.
and Kala_Way, yes, [name]Astaroth[/name], the crowned pronce of hell. xD It goes with my philosophy of following [name]Anton[/name] Szandor LaVey…and I also like the sound of it. [name]Don[/name]'t think I’ll ever use it though.
[name]Don[/name]'t let people get you down about [name]Astaroth[/name]. I have a Luciferian friend who lives in a not very religious community and he named his son [name]Lucifer[/name] [name]Alistair[/name]. You’d be surprised how often people say “That was a very brace thing” and he goes by [name]Luc[/name] sometimes. His daughter is [name]Lilith[/name]. It would be in the middle for you so don’t be afraid to use it if you find a name it goes well with. I don’t think it goes too well with the ones on that list (maybe [name]Phoenix[/name] and [name]Zephyr[/name] but then you have LeVeyin Satanism meets Greek myth and that’s just a little weird to me )
Also, you have an odd mix of [name]Christian[/name], Jewish, and Greek names up there, plus other of varying styles, so it’s hard to match up names for you >.<
[name]Abel[/name] – [name]Don[/name]’t like the sound of this one, I’d drop it
[name]Adrian[/name] – Keep!
[name]Callum[/name] – Used to love it, but it’s way too popular and “trendy” right now. I’d drop it
[name]Cohen[/name] – [name]Don[/name]’t like the sound of this one
[name]Jacolby[/name] – Mixed feelings about this one . . .
[name]Keegan[/name] – Looks like an ugly name in my opinion
[name]Kieran[/name] – Keep! [name]Love[/name] Irish names
[name]Killian[/name] – Ditto
[name]Leon[/name] – Drop
[name]Lucan[/name] – Sounds kind of made up
[name]Micah[/name] – Too childish, I can’t imagine this on a grown man
[name]Owen[/name] – Keep!
[name]Phoenix[/name] – Waaay to feminine
[name]Silas[/name] – Too trendy
[name]Simeon[/name] – Prefer [name]Simon[/name] over this
[name]Theo[/name] – I’d go with the long form
[name]Zephyr[/name] – Drop.
For middle the only ones I even kind of like are [name]Benjamin[/name] (not [name]Ben[/name]), [name]Bennett[/name] (spelled with double t), [name]Elias[/name], [name]Harris[/name], [name]Oakley[/name], and [name]Owen[/name]
