Maeby [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] [name]Blaire[/name] are topping the list right now. [name]Louise[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] are family names, [name]Blaire[/name] after my childhood best friend.
Personally, I wouldn’t do Maeby–it sounds just like “maybe” and I would be afraid my daughter would think that I “maybe” didn’t want her. Other than that, though, I think it’s one of those names that the real world just wouldn’t “get”. I think the [name]Mae[/name] sound is cute, and I love the -by ending ([name]Ashby[/name], [name]Thisbe[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], etc.!), but I just don’t think Maeby works, sorry.
[name]Violet[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Ella[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] are my very favorites.
I agree with [name]Ashley[/name] on Maeby/maybe. I love Maeby in theory, but I think it works better as a nickname because it’s so close to a very frequently used word. It also sounds a bit childish. [name]Mae[/name] B____ or [name]Margaret[/name] B_____ are very easy routes to Maeby as a nickname.
[name]Blaire[/name] reminds me of the [name]Blaire[/name] witch project and sounds a little harsh- I prefer [name]Claire[/name].
[name]Dylan[/name] isn’t my taste, especially for girls, and seems a very different style than your other names.
[name]Lanie[/name] and [name]Rosie[/name] are fantastic, but I think better as nicknames.
[name]Violet[/name] sounds a bit too close to “violent” for me.
I like every other name on your list, but my top picks are probably [name]Jane[/name], [name]Freya[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], and [name]Norah[/name].
I tried to combine with your family/honoring names. And got rid of a few.
[name]Mab[/name] or [name]Maeve[/name] (Irish spelling [name]Meabh[/name]) not Maeby oh please.
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Louise[/name]- “[name]Ruby[/name]-[name]Lou[/name]” or [name]Ella[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]
[name]Chloe[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Louise[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]
[name]Nora[/name]. But only without the H. [name]Nora[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Louise[/name], [name]Molly[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Blaire[/name], [name]Ella[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name] [name]Louise[/name] or [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]. But way better with the umlaut ([name]Zo[/name]ë!)
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]
[name]Ella[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
I like [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Norah[/name]. The others make fine middles.
Especially [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name].
Maeby – This name is really cute but, like previous posters, I think it sounds too much like “maybe” and is too cutesy for a first name
[name]Ella[/name] – This is so very pretty! Idk if popularity concerns you, but this is definitely an on-trend name. [name]Della[/name] would be a less popular choice if you are looking for one…
[name]Blaire[/name] – This one is nms
[name]Jane[/name] – [name]Jane[/name] is such a pretty name with lots of history and great namesakes! I’d love to meet a little girl named [name]Jane[/name]!
[name]Lanie[/name] – I love this name too! Other names you might like: [name]Eleni[/name] (some Greeks prn. this [name]Ah[/name]-[name]LAY[/name]-knee) [name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] – Unfortunately, this name just makes me think of “frayed” and distressed furniture. : / [name]Don[/name]'t ask me why.
[name]Ruby[/name] – This name is so pretty and has such a rich sound.
[name]Rosie[/name] – This is cute, but idk if I like it as a given name. [name]Rose[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name] is more my style.
[name]Elodie[/name] – I love this name! Nice update on [name]Melody[/name] and has such a classy sound!
[name]Chloe[/name] – This name is nms for some reason. I prefer Cleome and [name]Clea[/name].
[name]Charlotte[/name] – [name]Charlotte[/name] is pretty, but also nms.
[name]Norah[/name] – I love the quiet beauty of [name]Norah[/name].
[name]Molly[/name] – [name]Molly[/name] is a very sweet name, but I don’t know if it’s substantial enough as a first name for me.
[name]Violet[/name] – [name]Violet[/name] is very refined and beautiful.
[name]Zoe[/name] – I love the spunky sound of [name]Zoe[/name] and it has a great meaning to match!
[name]Dylan[/name] – Compared to your other choices and just in general, this sounds like too much of a boy’s name.
[name]Eloise[/name] – [name]Eloise[/name] is pretty, but between this and [name]Elodie[/name], I vote [name]Elodie[/name] all the way!
[name]Juliet[/name] – This name has a very pretty, crisp sound. For me the Shakespearian connection is too strong to imagine it on a real person though.
Maeby - To me it kind of just looks like you’ve misspelled maybe. It has a nice sound, but it just doesn’t work for me.
[name]Ella[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name] and safe. It’s popular but it’s still cute.
[name]Blaire[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it, but I personally prefer [name]Blair[/name].
[name]Jane[/name] - I think that I would find [name]Jane[/name] a bit too boring, but with a nice (more unique) middle name it would be nice.
[name]Lanie[/name] - I perfer just [name]Lane[/name], but [name]Lanie[/name] is cute too. It’s a bit nicknamey though.
[name]Freya[/name] - I love the scandinavian pronunciation, but the english pronunciation just doesn’t work for me.
[name]Ruby[/name] - Pretty and cute.
[name]Rosie[/name] - Adorable
[name]Elodie[/name] - [name]Love[/name], love, love this name! So beautiful.
[name]Chloe[/name] - Nice, but not my favourite.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - I don’t love [name]Charlotte[/name], but I [name]ADORE[/name] the nickname [name]Lottie[/name].
[name]Norah[/name] - Very beautiful.
[name]Molly[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. So cute, but it has a bit of spunk too.
[name]Violet[/name] - Nms
[name]Zoe[/name] - I love the sound of [name]Zoe[/name]/[name]Zoey[/name]/[name]Zooey[/name] but I don’t really like either of the spellings.
[name]Dylan[/name] - For a girl? no. (actually, for a boy it’d be a no from me too…)
[name]Eloise[/name] - It’s pretty but not my favourite.
[name]Juliet[/name] - Nice and simple, but it doesn’t stand out to me.
