Help me narrow down my LONG list?!

Hey everyone! I realize many people often have complete name lists with middle names and everything, but I never really have! So I thought I’d start working towards one, but I need some help…

I have a ton of names that I like or almost like, but I want to get down to 10. So if you wouldn’t mind, I would love all your opinions, even if only on a few names. I’m sorry about the length!

[name]EDIT[/name]: Okay, maybe there aren’t that many!

[name]Hi[/name] Bounce!

[name]Violet[/name]- I think this is an OK name, but it’s not at all my style. So I feel a little biased.
[name]Emmeline[/name]-I think this is so pretty! My only problem with it is that it has the same ‘em’ beginning as popular [name]Emily[/name] and [name]Emma[/name]. Beautiful, nonetheless.
[name]Tess/name- I consider [name]Tess[/name] a nickname. [name]Tessa[/name], on the other hand, is very nice.
[name]Lucy[/name]-I like this name. It’s not fantastic, but it’s pretty good.
[name]Georgia[/name]- I love [name]Georgia[/name]! I think it’s so spunky! I actually prefer [name]Georgiana[/name], though. [name]Do[/name] you like that?
[name]Sosie[/name]- I simply cannot get on board with this name. It seems too much like a nn.
[name]Virginia[/name]- This one is on my own list! I adore it! And [name]Ginny[/name] is so cute.
[name]Isla[/name]- I just don’t like this name. I also think it’s pretty trendy. Not tryndeigh, just trendy.
[name]Charlotte[/name]- Getting popular, but a classic name. Pretty.
[name]Maeve[/name]- I like this one a lot. It seems a bit more unique than some of your others.
[name]Cora[/name]- Hmmm. Pretty, but not nearly as good as some of your other names.
[name]Isadora[/name]- Kind of sounds like it’s trying not to be [name]Isabella[/name]. But I can get over that. I like it.
[name]Emma[/name]- SO popular! Great name, though. I actually prefer this to [name]Emmeline[/name].
[name]Clementine[/name]- I love this name. So much. It’s so darn cheerful!
[name]Isabel[/name]- I just can’t get over popularity on this one.
[name]Claire[/name]- Pretty, but a bit plain.
[name]Anna[/name]- I have never liked this name. It seems SO plain to me.
[name]Indira[/name]- This is very unusal. I like it!
[name]Paige[/name]- This is such a great name. I think it’s so refreshing.
[name]Talullah[/name]- Not my favorite. I do love [name]Lulu[/name], though. So maybe I cold get on board.
[name]Abigail[/name]- I love [name]Abigail[/name]!! And yet I hate [name]Abby[/name]. And you just know she’d get called [name]Abby[/name].

So, you say you want it narrowed down to ten? Alright, my ten would be:

[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Indira[/name]
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]

I know, I know! That’s 11. But I couldn’t choose! [name]Hope[/name] this helps!

[name]Hi[/name]! Wow, let’s get your list narrowed, shall we?

[name]Violet[/name] - Very pretty name with character and elegance.
[name]Emmeline[/name] - Gorgeous. Epitome of sophistication and vintage flair.
[name]Tess/name - Like [name]Tess[/name] a lot, but not so much [name]Tessa[/name].
[name]Lucy[/name] - Preppy, spunky, fun name, but feels a little young.
[name]Georgia[/name] - Fun name coming back in style. Lots of character.
[name]Sosie[/name] - Really cool nickname name with personality.
[name]Virginia[/name] - Not my favorite, but I do think it is really a neat name.
[name]Isla[/name] - Feels a bit light for my liking, but love it with [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name].
[name]Charlotte[/name] - Penultimate in vintage, romantic style, I think. [name]Love[/name].
[name]Maeve[/name] - A bit harsh in sound and not as sweet. Cute with [name]Isla[/name].
[name]Cora[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t care for this at all, honestly. Harsh sounds.
[name]Isadora[/name] - I prefer the classic [name]Isabel[/name], but [name]Isadora[/name] is princess-like.
[name]Emma[/name] - So sweet and classic. [name]Love[/name] it with [name]Charlotte[/name].
[name]Clementine[/name] - Lot of name for a child, but whimsical and fun.
[name]Isabel[/name] - As I said before, my favorite of the Is- names. Like a lot.
[name]Claire[/name] - Simple, sophisticated, and sweet. Perfect name.
[name]Anna[/name] - Gorgeous. [name]Anna[/name] is such a classy, soft, feminine name.
[name]Indira[/name] - It’s fun and spunky, but the Gandhi thing throws me.
[name]Paige[/name] - Sweet and fun. [name]Love[/name] it with [name]Tess/name and [name]Isla[/name].
[name]Talullah[/name] - This is pretty, but I like [name]Tallulah[/name] more. Lots of spunk.
[name]Abigail[/name] - Great Biblical classic, but it feels a bit 1990s to me.

Sibling Sets:

[name]Georgia[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], and [name]Sosie[/name]
[name]Paige[/name], [name]Isla[/name], and [name]Tess[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name], [name]Emma[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Violet[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], and [name]Isabel[/name]

My Favorites (8):

[name]Violet[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Claire[/name], [name]Anna[/name]

[name]Lemon[/name]

Hey  I love the majority of names on your list, but if I had to pick a top ten it would be:

[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Tess/name
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Talullah[/name]

Sorry that’s eleven, I just couldn’t do it! My favourite altogether is [name]Tallulah[/name], so gorgeous and so many great nn possibilities

~[name]Elena[/name]

[name]Hi[/name] bounce!

My top 10 from your fabulous list:

[name]Violet[/name]: [name]Love[/name] it (I’m so sad it’s moving up the charts)
[name]Tessa[/name]: Adorable on a little girl, substantial enough for a woman
[name]Lucy[/name]: Especially love it as a nn, but works on its own too
[name]Georgia[/name]: As lemon said, lots of character!
[name]Sosie[/name]: [name]Love[/name] it as a nn, maybe for [name]Susanna[/name]?
[name]Maeve[/name]: Quirky and breezy
[name]Isadora[/name]: Strong yet girly”a great mix
[name]Clementine[/name]: It does feel a bit young, but it has so much spunk!
[name]Anna[/name]: My very favorite classic
[name]Tallulah[/name]: One of the ultimate cool-girl creative names

I really like your list!

[name]Violet[/name]: It’s lovely, but very trendy…

[name]Emmeline[/name]: Are you pronouncing it -line or -leen? I like it, either way.

[name]Tess/name: Very nicknamey, but it’s cute…

[name]Lucy[/name]: Pretty! [name]Do[/name] you like any longer versions (not that there needs to be one) like [name]Lucia[/name]/[name]Louisa[/name]/[name]Lucienne[/name]?

[name]Georgia[/name]: I’ve never been a fan of the [name]George[/name] names…

[name]Sosie[/name]: This seems not to fit in with the rest of your list… it’s very nicknamey and insubstantial.

[name]Virginia[/name]: I can see teasing potential…

[name]Isla[/name]: Very pretty, but so trendy.

[name]Charlotte[/name]: I love [name]Charlotte[/name], even though it’s growing in popularity.

[name]Maeve[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]! This is my favorite on your list.

[name]Cora[/name]: I like it, but not quite as much as some of the others.

[name]Isadora[/name]: I love [name]Isadora[/name], too…

[name]Emma[/name]: I just know SO many Emmas, it’s way too common for me.

[name]Clementine[/name]: I actually really like this one, even though it’s a little too over the top for an actual person…

[name]Isabel[/name]: I love [name]Isabel[/name], but it’s very popular.

[name]Claire[/name]: I love [name]Claire[/name]!!

[name]Anna[/name]: Simple and classic-- a solid choice.

[name]Indira[/name]: I really like [name]Indira[/name]! It’s so pretty… do you like [name]Priya[/name]?

[name]Paige[/name]: This doesn’t really fit with all the classic names on your list… it’s a surname, trendy, and dated.

[name]Talullah[/name]: Something about this name seems cartoony, almost silly…

[name]Abigail[/name]: I’ve never really liked [name]Abigail[/name], and it’s very popular.

Top 10:

[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Indira[/name]

So on that note I will rule out all the 1s - [name]Sosie[/name], [name]Cora[/name], [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name].

Keep it coming!

I was thinking about [name]Claire[/name] and I think it might make a nice double first. I was thinking [name]Tessa[/name]-[name]Claire[/name]. The only thing is I’m not a fan of hyphons so what if I just did [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] Middlename. And then she could be [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. Or do you think I need the hyphon?

Bounce

No hyphen, please! Something like [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Claire[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] would be beautiful, and you could call her [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Claire[/name], or [name]Tess[/name]. I think hyphens “cheapen” the name, to be perfectly honest with you. No hyphen gives the name more opportunity to grow in my opinion. Sorry if this offends anyone!

[name]Lemon[/name]

Thanks [name]Lemon[/name]!

[name]Violet[/name] - popular, but such a beautiful, vintage name.
[name]Emmeline[/name] - lovely as the sound of this one is, I personally would avoid it due to the massive popularity of [name]Emma[/name].
[name]Tess/name - vintage and accessible, this one feels pretty and easy-going. It can also be a nn for [name]Teresa[/name] or Contessa.
[name]Lucy[/name] - sweet but suitable for all ages.
[name]Georgia[/name] - for some reason, I just can’t get on board with any of the feminised G names. There’s nothing wrong with this one, but I feel like it lacks … Pizazz?
[name]Sosie[/name] - so adorable and unusual. I love this one in the middle, and as a nn for [name]Shoshannah[/name]. You may also like [name]Susannah[/name] nn [name]Susie[/name] and [name]Sylvia[/name] nn [name]Sylvie[/name]. [name]Sosie[/name] feels slightly insubstantial to me as a full first name.
[name]Virginia[/name] - I know many people with unusual, eccentric names, but the [name]Virginia[/name] I know is the only one who has ever been really teased for her name. Normally I wouldn’t be dissuaded by teasing potential, but it is just too obvious for this name, for me. I do love the quirky nn [name]Ginger[/name], though. [name]How[/name] about [name]Ginevra[/name]?
[name]Isla[/name] - rising in popularity, but still so beautiful.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - a pretty, feminine classic, with the adorable nn [name]Lottie[/name].
[name]Maeve[/name] - simple and pretty.
[name]Cora[/name] - I went through a phase of loving this one, and I still think it is very nice, but prefer it as a nn for [name]Cordelia[/name].
[name]Isadora[/name] - stunning, feminine, glamourous - perfect!
[name]Emma[/name] - a lovely soft sound, but just too popular.
[name]Clementine[/name] - quirky but vintage, this is a great choice, and alternative to [name]Emma[/name]/[name]Emmeline[/name].
[name]Isabel[/name] - popular but beautiful. I much prefer this spelling to the frillier alternatives.
[name]Claire[/name] - a classic. It doesn’t excite me, but it’s a good name.
[name]Anna[/name] - a complete classic, clearly feminine but not frilly. I love the fact that it is a palandrome, too.
[name]Indira[/name] - unusual and pretty, plus it can give the quirky nn [name]Indie[/name].
[name]Paige[/name] - feels almost trendy to me, but has a very satisfying sound.
[name]Talullah[/name] - ultra-frilly; too much so for me. [name]How[/name] about the more manageabe [name]Arabella[/name] or [name]Paloma[/name] or Lulette?
[name]Abigail[/name] - popular, and I can’t say I find it as stunning as some of your other options.

My top ten from your list :
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Tessa/name
[name]Sosie[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Indira[/name].

Okay, so that’s eleven … Never mind!

I would pair them up like this :
One middle name :
[name]Isadora[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Indira[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Sosie[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Isabel[/name].

Two middle names :
[name]Isadora[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Sosie[/name]
[name]Indira[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Tess[/name].

[name]Auburn[/name]

I also hate hyphens for the record! Again, no offence to anyone!

Anyway, to your list:

[name]Violet[/name] - way too “celeb” and trendy for me and will forever make me think of violent
[name]Emmeline[/name] - pretty but makes me think of an old woman in a western film haha
[name]Tess/name - love love love [name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name] - pretty enough but very plain. I was once friends with a [name]Lucinda[/name] though which is quite a cool name!
[name]Georgia[/name] - ok but I prefer [name]Georgina[/name]
[name]Sosie[/name] - Not my style, maybe [name]Susannah[/name]?
[name]Virginia[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like this at all sorry
[name]Isla[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name] name but again, way too trendy right now, will probably end up sounding dated in 20 years
[name]Charlotte[/name] - beautiful classic name
[name]Maeve[/name] - I don’t like this at all and don’t understand the attraction for so many nameberrys sorry!
[name]Cora[/name] - I think this is a lovely name with so much energy
[name]Isadora[/name] - Beautiful in theory, but unfortunately always makes me think of Wizzadora, as does [name]Theodora[/name] unfotunately because I love both names :frowning:
[name]Emma[/name] - lovely name but she’d be one of many!
[name]Clementine[/name] - Beautiful but think I prefer [name]Clemence[/name] or [name]Clementina[/name]
[name]Isabel[/name] - too popular
[name]Claire[/name] - as plain as jane to me. I think of this as an eternal middle (or filler) name.
[name]Anna[/name] - Soft and lovely, classic. [name]Annia[/name]'s another good option.
[name]Indira[/name] - unusual and quite pretty though a little harsh sounding. Could grow on me!
[name]Paige[/name] - Nah
[name]Talullah[/name] - Gorgeous but all I ever think is “my name is [name]Tallulah[/name]…!” from bugsy malone
[name]Abigail[/name] - one of my cousin’s names, pretty but nothing special

My favourites in order would be:
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Indira[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Talullah[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
