Help me narrow down our list!

[name]Hi[/name] everyone! We just found out we’re having a little girl in [name]October[/name] and would love some help figuring out a name! We have found several names we like, but have yet to fall in love with one. We want something feminine but unique and are open to any suggestions. This is our current list…

[name]Jemimah[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Flora[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Valerie[/name]
[name]Gweneth[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Bianca[/name]

The last name is Cahill, pronounce [name]Kay[/name]-hill.
[name]TIA[/name]!

Congratulations!
[name]Jemimah[/name] - If you live in a super hipster area, this could work. Otherwise people think of syrup.
[name]Lucy[/name] - a super favorite of mine.
[name]Flora[/name] - so pretty! (My aunt’s name.)
[name]Beatrice[/name] - love. (Another one of my aunts.)
[name]Valerie[/name] - I think this may be a bit dated. I will look it up. [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] don’t think it’s dated. But I prefer [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Veronica[/name]/[name]Veronika[/name].
[name]Gweneth[/name] - I love it spelled [name]Gwyneth[/name].
[name]Fiona[/name] - love so much!
[name]Bianca[/name] - one of my very favorites! But I don’t like the “ca” sound at the end of [name]Bianca[/name] with the “ca” sound at the beginning of Cahill. Sounds awkward and too much like an icky word.

I think your style is really grounded. All your names are so pretty and have a similar feel.

The last name is Cahill, pronounce [name]Kay[/name]-hill.
Other first names to go with Cahill:
[name]Audrey[/name] Cahill
[name]Cecily[/name] Cahill
[name]Eloise[/name] Cahill
[name]Evelyn[/name] Cahill
[name]Georgia[/name] Cahill
[name]Helena[/name] Cahill
[name]Imogen[/name] Cahill
[name]Jessamyn[/name] Cahill
[name]Lara[/name] Cahill
[name]Maude[/name] Cahill
[name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Maisie[/name] Cahill
[name]Nora[/name] Cahill
[name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Poppy[/name] Cahill
[name]Pippa[/name] Cahill
[name]Rosamond[/name] nn [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosie[/name] Cahill
[name]Thalia[/name] Cahill - beautiful!
[name]Thandie[/name] Cahill
[name]Zandra[/name] nn [name]Zandie[/name] Cahill - I thought of this name today, and I really like it! [name]Zandie[/name] Cahill has the word “decay” in it if that matters. I wouldn’t like it. [name]Thandie[/name] Cahill has decay, too.

[name]Fiona[/name] would be my pick from your list. plus I love the NN Fi

[name]Jemimah[/name]- I think of maple syrup. Sorry
[name]Lucy[/name]- love this name although on a quick upward swing (ie I predict will get in the top 100 soon)
[name]Flora[/name]- wouldn”t hesitate on this one
[name]Beatrice[/name]- [name]Beatrice[/name] is back and that makes me happy
[name]Valerie[/name]- also wouldn”t hesitate on this one
[name]Gweneth[/name]- too much of a movie star association for my taste, but a pretty name
[name]Fiona[/name]- also wouldn”t hesitate on this one, although do picture [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Apple[/name] (but I”m sure the child”s generation won”t even know who [name]Apple[/name] is)
[name]Bianca[/name]- not my style

All are good picks! If you were to twist my arm, I would go with [name]Flora[/name].

Out of your list, I like [name]Lucy[/name] the best.

I love [name]Jemimah[/name] with ‘[name]Jem[/name]’ as a shortened version

I’d go with [name]Fiona[/name] first, [name]Lucy[/name] second, and [name]Gwenyth[/name] (sorry, can’t remember how you spelled it!) third!

great list

[name]Love[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]!!!

[name]Flora[/name] Cahill is amazing, definitely my favorite! I also like [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name].

Other ideas:

[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] (nn [name]Edie[/name])
[name]Eudora[/name]
[name]Eugenia[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Leonora[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]

Good luck!

From your list, I vote for [name]Flora[/name] Cahill. I do love [name]Lucy[/name], but when I say it with your last name, I hear [name]Lou[/name] C.K. [name]Hill[/name].

More ideas:

[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name] (Pronounced jem-ma, I think it’s a nice [name]Jemima[/name] alternative without racial or syrup associations…)
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] (another Shakespearean name, in place of [name]Bianca[/name])
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name] (instead of [name]Bianca[/name])
[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Vanessa[/name] (another V name…)
[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Winifred[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Lucy[/name]: pretty, classic and not too popular.
[name]Flora[/name]: prefer [name]Fleur[/name]. [name]Flora[/name] is used in reference to bacterial growth in the digestive system.
[name]Beatrice[/name]: beautiful. love the nn [name]Bea[/name] too!
[name]Gweneth[/name]: very pretty. not too common.
[name]Fiona[/name]: lovely.
[name]Bianca[/name]: pretty but reminds me of the name [name]Angelina[/name] or [name]Mercedes[/name]…perhaps a bit too sensuous? but maybe you are fine with that…
