So me and my partner have shortlisted 7 names for each gender and are looking to choose the two final names; one for a boy and one for a girl. They have been listed in order of how much I love them.
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is really cute. She’ll most likely encounter lots of misspelling issue, but if it doesn’t bother you, go for it. My second choice would be [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I am really glad to see [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] on someone else’s list.
From boys list my favourites are [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m].
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] are my favorites.
I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is the only name from the list that sounds good with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (I do like [name_f]Lillie[/name_f]…[name_f]Lily[/name_f]…but [name_f]Lillie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is heavy on the Ls). I think that [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a great combo and one that worked with the surname [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]. Good luck.
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my favorite!!! But I may be partial since my daughter is [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!! Its a great name and flows nicely!! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is my second favorite, its been at the top of our list if we ever had another girl.
For boys… I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. If I had to chose, I would chose [name_u]Logan[/name_u](I love it but sadly I can’t use it). It has a great flow and a name you don’t hear too often. I still like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] though…hmmm… tough decision. Our son was almost [name_m]Luke[/name_m](I loved [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] but hubby didn’t) but since we already had a [name_f]Lily[/name_f] we didn’t want another L. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is actually on our shortlist. So: [name_u]Logan[/name_u] then [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_u]Finn[/name_u]!!
You have some pretty great names!!! I hope this helps!!
You have some gorgeous names picked out! My favourites are [name_f]Orla[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] and [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]-A lovely name, but I wonder if the spelling will cause a lifetime of issues. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] might be more straightforward if you don’t dislike the spelling.
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]-An unusual choice. I like it but I wonder if it really fits with your naming style. Nevertheless, [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] is a great name!
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]-I’m not such a fan of this-I feel as though some of the shine has faded on [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], it feels a bit dated to me.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]-I’m not a fan, it’s totally not my style.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]-I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] a lot, and it does go well with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. My concern is that, as [name_f]Isla[/name_f] has become a very popular first name, when paired with your relatively common last name it could be too common as a whole given name.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]-Beautiful and classy, but faces the same popularity problems as [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]-I lovelovelove this name. [name_f]Orla[/name_f] is such an underused Irish classic, with a lovely menaing to boot. One of my favourites in your list.
My favourite girls’ choices would be [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Orla[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as a middle, it’s strong, classic and stands firm. But [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a name I’ve never warmed to. It just seems a little insubstantial and nicknamish for me.
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], I would much prefer [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Freddie[/name_u]’ [name_u]James[/name_u]-I love this combo, so cute for a little boy but would grow so well on to a man also.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]-Not really a fan of [name_u]Finn[/name_u] or Nathienal, both names are just not my style.
[name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-This is a really nice classic but strong combo. I like it a lot.
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]-[name_u]Dexter[/name_u] is a great name, and underused I think. [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds traditional but different, a perfect combo.
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-I don’t dislike it, but I don’t love it at all.
For the boys, I like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], but not with the nn, so my vote would be for [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]. For boys, definitely [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
