If she wants to (legally?) change it she can choose whatever she likes.

Well it’s a biblical name, which sounds like the Bible is a major part of her life (a part of her culture), so I’m gonna say no.

I agree with @futuremama. It doesn’t seem like an exclusively Jewish name to me.
She also likes [name_f]Tziporah[/name_f] as its easier for her to pronounce . I know that there’s many ways to spell it but she prefers this one . [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of you know much about the background of this name . Thanks for the help so far
It’s also a biblical name (although it’s spelt [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] there). She was the wife of [name_m]Moses[/name_m].

It strikes me as very biblical rather than appropriation
It’s in the Bible (and I’m pretty sure [name_f]Hephzibah[/name_f] is Anglicized rather than being the original Hebrew form) so I don’t see why it would be a problem.
I see that this is a foreign name, & I understand your concern for her, but this is ultimately up to your friend.
