Help name our Autumn baby!

I’ve always loved the [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] season, so it seems so perfect that, that is exactly when our sweet baby girl is due to arrive. [name_f]October[/name_f] 29th - to be exact. I’ve searched high and low through autumn themed baby name lists and Pinterest pins. But they all seem so overdone, and though it is a gorgeous name, I can think of four girls named [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] in my town right off of the top of my head. I’m looking for any name suggestions that bring to mind the fiery, spicy, woodsy, cozy feeling of the fall season.

So far the top two name ideas we’ve managed to come up with are:

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_u]Blaire[/name_u]

And

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]October[/name_f]

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] definitely brings to mind the autumn season for me.

A few others that bring to mind autumn:

[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]

[name_u]Wren[/name_u]

Autumn is my favorite season! My favorite fall name, other than Autumn, is Maple!

I like Scarlett Jean October the most! It feels more autumnal to me, and I love October! Would you consider October as a first name? Or November? Ruby Jean Blaire is lovely too.

I love the suggestion of Aurelia! I like Hazel too. What about Opal or Persephone?

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is SO cute, oh my goodness. I don’t know how I feel about [name_u]Jean[/name_u] being one of two middle names, it seems so sweet on its own.

I think [name_f]Maple[/name_f] would make such an adorable first or middle name and great homage to all things fall. I love the suggestion by @jtay07 of [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] (if you havent seen the movie i’d highly recommend it  ) [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] or [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] are to die for! I also really like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_u]Storm[/name_u].

My favorite “[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]” name for a girl is [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. I think it just brings to mind the colors and feeling of the season. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] always makes me think of [name_f]Summer[/name_f] (it’s the [name_u]July[/name_u] birthstone) and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] can be seen as [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], but it always feels like a wintery red to me, but [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is all [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is a beautiful name and a perfect representation of the season.

I l[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. I l[name_m]Ike[/name_m] [name_f]WIllow[/name_f], [name_u]PaIsley[/name_u], and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] for fall, too. I have always loved [name_u]PaIsley[/name_u] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] for g[name_m]Irl[/name_m] names.

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] makes me think of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]October[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f], Harvest, and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_u]Blaire[/name_u]?

Great list here as well, most which have not been suggested here yet: http://www.todays-mommy-baby-toddler-guide.com/baby-names-earthy.html

My favorites that I feel really embody that lovely, cozy, woodsy fall feeling - [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and [name_u]Ember[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! Also [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] fit your description perfectly.

Oh, my daughter was also born in [name_f]October[/name_f], [name_f]October[/name_f] 30th! That’s nice! I prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]October[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]October[/name_f] would be better but as I see [name_u]Jean[/name_u] on both combinations, I suppose it has a special meaning for you. I’d like to suggest some names but whiteteaandginger’s post suggest many names. My favourites are [name_f]Amber[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is the perfect choice, [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] and [name_f]October[/name_f] have the same meaning but [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] sounds sophisticated, sweet and full of history. My second choice would be [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], it means golden and it somehow reminds me of falling leaves.
Have you considered names inspired by the birthstone or birth flower of [name_f]October[/name_f]?
[name_f]October[/name_f]'s birthflower is marigold. You can use it as a name or let it inspire you. You can use a variation of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] (my daughter is [name_f]Maria[/name_f] but there’s another reason I named her [name_f]Maria[/name_f], not the flower) or something that means gold or golden ([name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] for example?). Some say that [name_f]October[/name_f]'s birthflower is calendula, I don’t know if Calendula is useful though.
[name_f]October[/name_f]'s birthstone is [name_f]Opal[/name_f]. I don’t live in the US, but many people on Nameberry like it, so I think it is a usable name.
What about using a name of a famous person born in [name_f]October[/name_f]? It is a subtle connection but maybe you like it in the middle name spot. There’s a great page on Wikipedia October 29 - Wikipedia . You can find the most important events that happened on [name_f]October[/name_f] 29th.
