Help name our second Daughter

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Everyone,

you were so helpful when we were naming our 1st daughter and I really hope you can help again.

We ended up naming our first daugher [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] - [name_u]Rae[/name_u] as a middle rather than used regularly. I also have a step son called [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] which has a bit of a different feel as obviously i didnt name him.

These are the names on our [name_m]Long[/name_m] list and I’m really struggling to pinpoint my favorite. I’m not sure if that’s because i haven’t found the one yet!

if you think of anything that we might like as well i would appreciate suggestions

Congratulations on baby #2 :tada:

[name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is very spunky and fun with this overall 1950s summery vibe you can picture [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] dressed in a polka dot tea dress selling homemade lemonade. I would be inclined to match that imagery with your next door. I would use a name that is short, sweet and vintage.

Looking at your rather fabulous list my favourites for Betty’s & Lincoln’s sister are [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_u]Alma[/name_u].

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is gorgeous she’s so whimsical, strong and elegant. She’s a lovely choice with the wonderful meaning ‘rainbow’ and I think sounds so sweet with [name_f]Betty[/name_f]. Very dreamy. I also think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] doesn’t feel so stylistically different from [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] I wouldn’t be surprised to seen them together. You may also like [name_u]Ivy[/name_u], [name_u]Fern[/name_u] & [name_u]Hazel[/name_u].

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] definitely fits into that 1950s cloudy lemonade imagery. Honestly [name_f]Betty[/name_f] & [name_f]Vera[/name_f] feel so perfect together a really natural sibling set. I also like that [name_f]Vera[/name_f] has a similar clunky coolness to her like [name_f]Betty[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Vera[/name_f] works with [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] the overall sibling set feels very mad men inspired. Other names like [name_f]Vera[/name_f] that could work [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] & [name_f]Celia[/name_f].

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a favourite of mine that just feels so versatile fitting into so many aesthetics and feeling very cohesive with both [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] & [name_f]Betty[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is romantic, elegant, graceful, has gorgeous connotations with the flower and feels universal. [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u], [name_f]Betty[/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are sweet together. You may also like [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] & [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] feels like a very natural pairing similar to [name_f]Vera[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] works with [name_f]Betty[/name_f] & [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] creating that 1950s imagery however doesn’t feel as clunky as [name_f]Vera[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is lovely! I feel like [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] have a similar feel to [name_f]Nora[/name_f].

[name_u]Alma[/name_u] adds a soulful edge to [name_f]Betty[/name_f] she changes the imagery of the sibling set making her feel more peaceful more quiet spring walks picking flowers and enjoying the quiet. She sounds sweet with [name_f]Betty[/name_f] despite me not naturally pairing them together. In regards to [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] I think [name_u]Alma[/name_u] feels very hipster with him it’s overall very cool. You may also like [name_f]Ida[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f].

You have two of my absolute favourite names [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f] on your list. However I am absolutely loving [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u], [name_f]Betty[/name_f] & [name_f]Vera[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

While I like them all, [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] work best with [name_f]Betty[/name_f] I think. They are similar in length and style. I think I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] best!

I think [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] would be a good sister for [name_f]Betty[/name_f] - both have the retro nickname-name vibe IMO.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Betty[/name_f] or [name_f]Martha[/name_f] and [name_f]Betty[/name_f] are probably my favorites! I also really love [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! Your whole list is great!!

From your list I really like [name_u]Alba[/name_u], [name_u]Alma[/name_u], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], and [name_f]Una[/name_f]
