Help naming baby #3

Hello! [name_u]New[/name_u] to Nameberry, but I have always found these threads helpful in the past. We are expecting baby #3 any day now (I’m 39+ weeks). We have always struggled with names, and we are finally narrowing our name search down, but I’d love help. Tell me your thoughts and I’d love other suggestions on names. Middle name will be a family name. We have a very large extended family so lots of names we love are out because they are already taken.

If we have a girl we are leaning towards [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]

And for a boy we are leaning towards [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] (I don’t love it as of now, other suggestions welcome)
Family middle name options:
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] (this is actually my top choice 1st name, but husband nixed it due to popularity)

Older siblings are [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. We tend to be more traditional than trendy. I’m not a nickname type of person and prefer shorter names. N names are not necessary.

For a girl, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle matches your two oldest girls’ middle names really well! [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is darling. Other possibilities that go with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]:

Phoebe [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenore[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

Good luck! Your two daughters have beautiful names!

Sadie is darling! I personally prefer the flow of [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] over [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]. [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] is really cool! Here are some other suggestions:

Your daughters have such lovely names! I slightly prefer the flow of [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] to [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f], but I’ll pick the latter just because [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] are technically forms of the same name (definitely not a big deal if you prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] though, since they sound and look so different and are in the middle spot anyway). Other possibilities for a girl:

I like [name_u]Nolan[/name_u], but it sounds like it might not be the one for you? Maybe:

Good luck!!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] & [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are lovely! [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is adorable, & would make a perfect sister.

And if the little one is a boy, I love [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]! It’s near the top of my personal list. It’s one of those names w/a great balance of ruggedness & sporty-ness, but still sounds gentle & down to earth. I think that maybe not picking an ‘N’ name, especially one that you don’t really love, is probably a good idea though anyway.

Here are a few more suggestions-

Thank you all for the many suggestions. Some great ones! Talking with my husband this morning and he is done and happy with the names [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]. We are a little burnt out on names deciding. My only hang up was how it sounds with our last name, but it would work ok. I think I just have to keep saying it in my head.

Any way, what middle name option do you think sounds the best with [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]?

Nolan [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_u]Raleigh[/name_u] flow really well, although [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] also is a really good option! That way you could still get your top choice in the name, and it works well in the combo.
