[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] for [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] for [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]?
Ok I didn’t read the replies so I’m sorry if this is a repeat but What about [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?
Or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]? [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is an old nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]…
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] means lily so you could have a daisy & lily:)
yeah I suggested daisy, that’s what margaret means anyway (at least in Italian).
another name could be [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] daisy.

Thanks, all! You are helping a lot. Here are the names on the table now:
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
Which do you like best with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u]?
I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u].
SUCH great options! [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are my choices for sure. [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is not a name I necessarily like a lot, not sure why. But definitely cool, not bad at all! I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] with nn [name_f]Liza[/name_f]. [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_f]Liza[/name_f] is too cute.
With it narrowed down this much maybe you could take your list to the hospital and just see what she looks like to you after she’s born!
Thanks so much! Great idea to see who she is after she is born!
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] is one of my personal favorite names, and so is [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], which I think is more distinctive and a better match for [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] than [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and may help break the connection that bothers you.
I also love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] both – I can’t decide! (not helpful, I know). Though the bottom line to me is that all three of these names are great choices. I guess in order my picks are:
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] would be adorable.
If I personally needed to honor an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], I’d use [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Or perhaps [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].
Of your new list, I loove [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u].
I’ve already posted, but two things:
If you love the name, go with it. Once you have your baby the negative connotations will not matter. It’s a gorgeous name and you shouldn’t let someone you dislike stop you from using it.
Also: Instead of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] or [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], maybe [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]? I thought of it in the shower this morning.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]…
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] (admirable, wonderful)
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] ([name_f]Do[/name_f]-[name_f]RO[/name_f]-thaya, [name_m]German[/name_m] name) (gift from god)
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] (variant of [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f])
[name_f]Morgana[/name_f] - possibly meaning sea circle
[name_f]Fiorella[/name_f] - derived from fiore, which is Italian for flower
([name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Fleur[/name_f])
Madelief
[name_f]Margaretta[/name_f]/[name_f]Margarita[/name_f] (both of these are old names, dating long before pizza and drink, I suggest [name_f]Margaretta[/name_f]/[name_f]Margareta[/name_f], which is pronounced differently than [name_f]Margarita[/name_f] and [name_f]Margareta[/name_f] means daisy in Croatian)
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] (combining strong and work)
[name_f]Melisande[/name_f] ([name_m]French[/name_m] form of [name_f]Millicent[/name_f], I think this is old name and there’s opera Pelleas and [name_f]Melisande[/name_f]), [name_f]Melisende[/name_f] ([name_f]Queen[/name_f] of Jerusalem, more older form)
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (the golden)
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]/[name_f]Valeria[/name_f] - derived from [name_m]Valerius[/name_m] which in turn was derived from valere - to be strong
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]
Have you considered [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]?
I think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] sounds beautiful and sounds lovely with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u]. It’ a flower name and it has a bunch of great nickname options ([name_f]Mari[/name_f], [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], even [name_f]Margot[/name_f]). It’s also pretty uncommon but also very familiar. I think it’s a good option for you!
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] and think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sounds sweet with it, also [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is so pretty. I really like [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. But to me it doesn’t flow as well with sisters name for some reason? I saw you were wanting to honor an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and thought [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] would be nice with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]… Good luck!
My favorites from your new shortlist and recent recommendations:
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] & [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] & Margiold Isabl - this is the best [name_f]Margot[/name_f] alternate offered in my opinion - unusual, feminine, floral, excellent nn option
I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] its gorgeous! And I think [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_m]Wills[/name_m] would be an adorable combo. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is okay, but I much prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. If you don’t want to go with [name_f]Margot[/name_f], how about [name_f]Mara[/name_f]?
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Marete
[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f] Marete
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there,
Thank you all so much for your help and support! We are leaning toward [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but just generally feel more confident in all of our decisions. We will let you know her name, after she is born!
Best,
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]
