Girl Names:
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
Lexington “[name_u]Lexi[/name_u]”
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - feminine middle name?
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u]
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]/[name_u]Aspyn[/name_u]
[name_u]Cali[/name_u]
Klailea “Klai” - clay-lay-a, it is a Hawaiian name of a good friend of ours who has passed
[name_m]Jett[/name_m]
[name_u]Reign[/name_u]/[name_u]Rain[/name_u]
I like [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], [name_u]Orion[/name_u], and [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] from your boys list. From your girls list I like [name_u]Rain[/name_u] and [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. I’m afraid I can’t say I personally care for the rest.
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] - Not my personal style, but it’s fine. I think it’s wearable.
Lexington “[name_u]Lexi[/name_u]” - A little tougher. I personally can’t separate it from the various towns of the same name. It has a bit of a weird vibe because it’s simultaneously very uptight in sound but makes me think of these everytown, [name_f]Americana[/name_f] type places.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - So nice. Simple but sophisticated, always pleasant to hear.
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] - I think the sound is a little harsh, personally. I’d only use it if you have a strong connection to the city, or maybe in the middle spot.
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f] - Seems more and more popular these days, so definitely wearable. I know of a few baby Cadences in my area.
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]/[name_u]Aspyn[/name_u] - Really like it, if you can get past the first syllable being “ass” it’s very earthy and elegant.
[name_u]Cali[/name_u] - Very cute, though it might get misspelled as [name_f]Callie[/name_f] all the time.
Klailea “Klai” - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] but would run into pronunciation issues. Maybe save it for the middle spot if that’s a concern.
[name_m]Jett[/name_m] - A guilty pleasure of mine. I think it’s cool but would need a boring or classic middle to balance it out.
[name_u]Reign[/name_u]/[name_u]Rain[/name_u] - [name_u]Reign[/name_u] feels too Kardashian, [name_u]Rain[/name_u] is pretty but I’d only pair it with a non-word name.
Boy Names:
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] - Like this one. It’s got that unusual/cool factor but can easily become simple [name_m]Leo[/name_m].
[name_u]Zion[/name_u] - I didn’t like it until I heard a speech by [name_u]Zion[/name_u] [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], and now it’s growing on me.
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - A great sound, but I personally find it a little strange when people use names of cities they have no connection to. I’d be prepared to get a lot of “was he born in [name_u]Cairo[/name_u]? Are you Egyptian?” -type questions.
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - One of my favorites. I think it’s underrated and deserves more use.
[name_m]Kaiser[/name_m] - For some reason I can’t get past the association with [name_m]Kaiser[/name_m] rolls. It’s all bread to me, though of course I love the [name_u]Kai[/name_u]- syllable.
[name_m]Thiago[/name_m] - Such a great sound.
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] - Ditto above.
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] - I’d be worried about it becoming dated someday, but it’s an appealing enough name.
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - A good option. I’d like to meet a boy named [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u].
[name_u]Orion[/name_u] - Super cool. I love star names.
[name_m]Princeton[/name_m] - Feels too uptight for my taste, plus I’d be worried he’d feel weird pressure to get into the [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] League school (or the opposite, that he’d totally rebel and drop out of high school or something drastic.) I wish it felt more like a name and less like a place.
Girls:
Monroe: it is quite a sweet name and can definitely see it on a little girl paired up with either a frilly mn or just feminine mn
Lexington “Lexi”: reminds me a lot of Layton. it think it these kind of names are growing in society. Lexington is a very strong, last-namey feel but i can definitely see it working. Lexington can have a variety of mn options!
Kai - feminine middle name? : i would even use it as a first either as a nn or just as Kai.
Dallas: was one of the names i first loved and is still totally usable.
Cadence: becoming more popular, probably more familiar and comfortable
Aspen/Aspyn: again another on my long list, Aspen. can totally be paired with a lovely and strong mn
Cali: again can be used as a first or nn, some full name options: Callahan/Calihan, Calista, California, Calila, Callina
Klailea “Klai” - clay-lay-a, it is a Hawaiian name of a good friend of ours who has passed: when reading it myself i at first would have pronounced it as “clay-leah”, i think it has great meaning behind it but personally if you’d want to remember that person use part of their name or a take/spin on it. don’t replicate a child to be that person with their name
Jett: not sure how i feel as just Jett for a girls full name, i would use it as a nn for her though. Jetson, Jetta, Juliett a few names that can have the nn Jett. it has also come along way since being used on a girl since 1999 and now ranking just over 3,000 in popularity.
Reign/Rain: another suggestion is Rayne. a girl through school was Rayne and she liked her name and there was no problem with anyone else.
Boys:
Leonidas: is really rising through the ranks, a take on Leo and Leonardo. multiple nn including Leo, Leon, Lee
Zion: not sure how i feel about this one… is it “Zy-on” or “Zee-on”?
Cairo: Cairo or Kairo know them both, enjoy the name!
Prosper: too wordy for my liking but the meaning is great
Kaiser: quite a sweet name, heard it a few times now will definitely work especially with nn Kai
Thiago: becoming more popular can definitely see it
Lorenzo: feels a bit older then your other names
Maddox: lovely new spin on Max, enjoy the name!
Shiloh: feels very unisex for me and probably one of your softer feeling boy names
Orion: another one on my list, quite a lovely name with some nn option Ori, Ryan
Princeton: way to wordy for my liking, especially with the nn Prince. to me they are words not names
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]: Not a fan of surnames on girls. This one is both harsh sounding and overused.
Lexington: Not a fan of random unfeminine place name names on girls.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]: I like it as a middle. Is it to rhyme with eye or with may?
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u]: Much better on boys.
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]/[name_u]Aspyn[/name_u]: The first syllable is unfortunate. Not a fan of adding y’s, so don’t like [name_u]Aspyn[/name_u].
[name_u]Cali[/name_u]: Fine as a nickname for something else.
Klailea: I like it, but it could be difficult if you don’t live in [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m]. It’s not an easy combination of sounds to come out of an English speaker’s mouth.
[name_m]Jett[/name_m]: Not a fan on girls.
[name_u]Reign[/name_u]/[name_u]Rain[/name_u]: I don’t really like it, but I like [name_u]Rain[/name_u] much better of the two. [name_u]Reign[/name_u] feels very tacky to me.
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m]: He would get called [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and I am SO TIRED of [name_m]Leo[/name_m].
[name_u]Zion[/name_u]: Too religious for me personally.
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u]: Doesn’t sound like a first name to me.
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]: Very Puritan-esque. Also a little too feminine for me, because I am reminded of Proserpina.
[name_m]Kaiser[/name_m]: Too much of a title.
[name_m]Thiago[/name_m]: I like it, but unless you live somewhere with a lot of Spanish/Portuguese speakers, it’ll get pronounced with a ‘Th’ like in [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]: It’s fine, but I like just [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] more.
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]: Too surnamey for me.
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]: I like it, but the main associations I have with it are: a female celebrity’s child, a dog, and a Civil War battle, which aren’t great.
[name_u]Orion[/name_u]: Feels like it’s trying too hard.
[name_m]Princeton[/name_m]: I agree with PP about feeling too uptight/[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] League-y. Plus it’s so placename-y.
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] - love it as a middle
Lexington “[name_u]Lexi[/name_u]” - Lexington sounds quite pretentious to me, but [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] is so cute
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] - my brother’s name, but I like this for both genders!
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f] - this is such a pretty name
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]/[name_u]Aspyn[/name_u] - I love the [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] spelling…[name_u]Aspyn[/name_u] just looks misspelled imo
[name_u]Cali[/name_u] - I prefer [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], but I’m not really a fan of that either
Klailea “Klai” - clay-lay-a - I think just [name_f]Lea[/name_f]/[name_f]Leia[/name_f] would be a cute way to honour your friend, or [name_m]Clay[/name_m]/Klai for a boy
[name_u]Reign[/name_u]/[name_u]Rain[/name_u] - [name_u]Reign[/name_u] is too Kardashian imo, but [name_u]Rain[/name_u] is cute
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] - too pretentious imo
[name_u]Zion[/name_u] - so cute
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - I like this for either gender! I have [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] on my list
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - love it!
[name_m]Kaiser[/name_m] - cute
[name_m]Thiago[/name_m] - it’s been growing on me
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] - love [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] but [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] not so much
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - this is a dog name to me, a bit like [name_u]Marley[/name_u], but it’s cute
[name_u]Orion[/name_u] - I love this as a middle
[name_m]Princeton[/name_m] - again, a little too pretentious sounding for my personal liking
I like:
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]
I don’t hate:
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] (for a boy)
[name_m]Jett[/name_m] (for a boy)
[name_u]Zion[/name_u]
[name_u]Orion[/name_u]
[name_m]Thiago[/name_m]
