My daughter is 4 (will be 5 by the time baby is born) and we have been trying to have her contribute as much as possible. Well, she’s been all about [name_m]Luke[/name_m] lately. Yesterday, she said, “Mom, I just really want my baby brother’s name to be [name_m]Luke[/name_m]!”
The thing is, I really like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_m]Luke[/name_m] too, but am very concerned about the popularity. It’s pretty high up there on the SSA national list as well as my state’s list, but I’ve noticed nowadays that those lists don’t always really reflect the [name_u]TRUE[/name_u] popularity of a name since people use so many different types of names.
So, my question is… [name_m]How[/name_m] many boys named [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_u]Luca[/name_u]/[name_m]Luke[/name_m] do you know that are under the age of 5? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you really think the popularity of [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_m]Luke[/name_m] on the SSA lists still really reflect its popularity or not?
My husband and I’s current top choices are [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] ([name_u]Finn[/name_u]) and [name_m]Declan[/name_m] ([name_m]Dex[/name_m]).
. He is 16 months. I’ve personally not met another [name_m]Luke[/name_m] under the age of 10. I know a ton of people who wanted to name their kids [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], but knew someone else who named their kid that. It really depends on where you live.
