Hello!
I need your help and thoughts on a name for my baby girl that will be here any day now!
Our last name is a short, one syllable and starts with L
Here are some of our favorites; middle names are family names ([name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] )
As much as I love [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] (those are my favorites out of your list) I would avoid them because you already have a C child. I would avoid [name_u]Everly[/name_u], too, as it is too close to [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] works the best with the sibling names, but it is so popular…[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] could also work, but it doesn’t seem to follow well with your other names. So, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] would be my choice.
I personally love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like repeating letters so I wouldn’t use [name_f]Louise[/name_f] as a middle if your last name starts with L, but that is totally up to you (obviously)! I will say, though, I like [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Collette[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] although the [name_u]Harper[/name_u]/[name_u]Carter[/name_u] rhyming could be less than ideal
I dislike [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u], I am not sure about [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and I like [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].
My favourite would be [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. However, it is very popular. If popularity is an issue, I would go with [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
Awesome choices…I most likely would go with…
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] ( it has tribute to [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] as well in the first plus it fits in your subset and has cool nicknames
I really like [name_u]Harper[/name_u], but being so similar sounding to [name_u]Carter[/name_u], I’d go with either [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], if you loved that ‘H’
I like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] (although I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] more), and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] the best. Personally, I think I’d go with either [name_u]Everly[/name_u] (which is sort of androgynous, like [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]), or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (which is so common that I feel like it could go with any type of name. For some reason, I can easily imagine [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] as sisters, with no problem, but [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] or [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] is harder for me, because there’s a stronger style difference? I think it’s because [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is so popular, so I can see it fitting in with any type of girls’ name, while [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is rarer, and seems to only fit with certain styles of names to me? I mean, it really doesn’t matter, either way, and in the long run, it’s not a huge deal whether or not sibling names “go” together, but I can see [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] or [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] as siblings much easier than [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] or [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]).
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is my favorite name on your list, regardless, though, and I like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] just about equally after that.
I would cross of [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] because if your last name starts with L, then her initials will be EAL. Unless you’re ok with those initials, and they aren’t the worst in the world, then I’d let the name go.
With [name_u]Carter[/name_u] & [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] (girl I’m assuming), I would pick another unisex name, or a name that isn’t too girly. So I would cross of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] & [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]. Also, not a huge fan of siblings sharing initials, so I would also cross of [name_f]Colette[/name_f].
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - sounds a bit close to [name_u]Carter[/name_u] for my comfort. The names rhyme and only differ by 2 letters.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - This is my favourite! Different enough from [name_u]Carter[/name_u] & [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] (unless the rhyming ending bothers you), but still sweet, unisex and fits beautifully. [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] & [name_u]Everly[/name_u] sound amazing together!
I think [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] sound best with siblings [name_u]Carter[/name_u] and [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] are both sort of unisex like your kids. Ashthedreamer explianed why [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] works perfectly. If [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is a girl, I’m assuming [name_u]Carter[/name_u] is a boy, I wouldn’t use [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] since it is definitely more feminine. I also slightly prefer [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] since they share a 1 syllable middle name with [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], again this is assuming B+G.
I like [name_f]Colette[/name_f] best, followed by [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]. I have two children whose name starts with the same initial and it hasn’t been a problem for me or them.
I like [name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] the best. If another ‘C’ child is a problem for you, my second choice would be [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
I also really liked [name_u]Everly[/name_u] but it shares a similar ending with [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is too popular. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] are both very nice, I just like [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] better.
