We’re trying to whittle down our girl’s name list and need some input. Our last name is [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] and she will join big bro [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. Thank you!
I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] sound lovely together.
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is also a great combo, my sisters name is a very similar “G” name with a very similar “L” mn. They both have a very feminine, sweet sound. And [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] & [name_m]Ben[/name_m] is really nice too.
I don’t think [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sounds as nice as a combination as your other options, not bad, just not as nice. good luck!
Really like the name [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] and like the meaning of [name_f]Alair[/name_f] but not so much the sound, I know you didn’t ask for suggestions but have you heard of [name_f]Amity[/name_f]? I also like the meaning, it is similar to that of [name_f]Alair[/name_f] but it is more feminine sounding to me and I think it goes well with [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] if not too matchy.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] - Not so fond of the name [name_f]Willa[/name_f], it doesn’t seem complete although I don’t like the name [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is nice…
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - This one I quite like and although I don’t usually like made up spellings I think I prefer [name_f]Jorja[/name_f]. That sophisticated, older style is not one of my favourites.
[name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I like this because [name_f]May[/name_f] balances it out…[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] sounds quite dated to me but [name_f]May[/name_f] is still in
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - Not so into this one.
Unfortunately not so much my style lol but there are some nice names in there. Each to their own I guess…best of luck with your name choosing…and I love the name [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] by the way!
I would choose from one of these 3:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] - [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is nice and sounds good with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - best flow to my ears.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - classic, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] sounds good.
[name_f]May[/name_f] rhymes with [name_m]Clay[/name_m], and [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f]Alair[/name_f] is a bit funny sounding to me. It kind of smooshes into Eileenalair when I say it.
I like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] the best, but [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] are nice too. [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] isn’t bad, but I don’t like it with [name_m]Clayton[/name_m]. [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f]Alair[/name_f] doesn’t flow well to me.
Thanks for all the input! This had been my first post - kind of intimidating! I didn’t see the may-clay rhyming - I was so smitten with sweet [name_f]May[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be great matches for [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]'s sibling. These two combos flow the best with your surname.
I didn’t choose [name_f]May[/name_f] because it rhymes with [name_m]Clay[/name_m].
I didn’t choose [name_f]Willa[/name_f] because with your surname it’s heavy on the l’s.
I didn’t choose [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] because it’s not the same style as [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], it also has an “l” and ends with an “n” like [name_m]Ben[/name_m] and [name_m]Clayton[/name_m].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is very sweet, demure, and charming- she sounds like a proper Southern girl or woman. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a classic that would have worked equally well anywhere in Europe over the past few hundred years as it does today. [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] all have lots of great namesakes. [name_f]May[/name_f] is cute but a bit too cute, it seems more like a nickname to me unless you spell it [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] in general, or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as a full name (though I like [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Willa[/name_f]).
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] - [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is a lovely name, very feminine and she has a cool quirky stance. I dislike [name_f]Willa[/name_f] with [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] I’m not keen on [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] unless [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] is a family name I wouldn’t use the choice. I prefer [name_f]Aileen[/name_f].
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - I dislike [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]! I dislike [name_m]George[/name_m] names and all his variants including [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgina[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Louise[/name_f] though she’s elegant and really feminine in sound.
[name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]May[/name_f] is a lovely feminine choice. She’s sweet, light, and delicate. [name_f]May[/name_f] sounds lovely with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. The name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is such a classic. She’s elegant, classy, and demure. [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a delightful classic. The whole combination is great.
[name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f]Alair[/name_f] - Not keen on this.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is a gorgeous international choice. She has beautiful nutcracker vibe and works so well as a pretty ballerina name. I love it. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is effortless. She sounds beautiful with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. To eat into the international flair of this choice I would use the variant [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] would be more appealing.
