Still lost trying to find a name for babysister.
We have a lot of criteria that makes it really hard and I still dream of falling in love with a name. and I wanna stop thinking about it.
The criteria are:
[name_u]Bright[/name_u] and strong (we think strong sounds are k,p,t,r,d,i,g)
Warm (we think this sound makes a name warm ai, u,o,l,m)
simple spelling
stylish and elegant
look good in writing
international
know but not popular
we tend to like shorter names, but that is not a criteria. We also like some longer ones
names we like but don’t really meet all the criteria…
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Aster[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f], [name_f]Silvie[/name_f], Rhye, [name_f]Palma[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Telma[/name_f], vera, [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Petra[/name_f], [name_f]Isolde[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] we can get some clarity soon. Thank you so much for any suggestions you have
[name_f]Raina[/name_f] was the first that came to mind, it’s a strong name that means either paradise or queen in it’s various back ground languages, it has the strong R and the warm ai. It’s definitely international, it’s at about number 766 on the US charts at the moment, it’s two syllables and I personally find it stylish, elegant and pretty in writing (but I think that’s subjective.
Other thoughts:
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Therese[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mali[/name_f] or [name_f]Malu[/name_f]
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Katya[/name_f]
I’m going to be real with you - you are not going to find a name with that much criteria. I’m not saying you need to settle for a name you just find meh but letting one or two of those slide would be helpful.
[name_u]Keeva[/name_u]! Means beautiful, rhymes with [name_f]Eva[/name_f], which is all the rage, has cute nns - Kee, [name_f]Kiki[/name_f], [name_u]Kay[/name_u]…plus I’ve never met one in real life. Strong, bright, unique, straight-forward…lovely!
I think you got a good bunch of name suggestions already so I won’t add anymore. But, I would like to say that sometimes that name you’re looking for won’t fit in the criteria at all. I looked for what seemed like forever for the perfect girl name and the name I chose for my daughter was nothing that I thought I wanted but, it is 100% her. So my suggestion would be to pick one or two things in your list that you like, whether that be the sound or the strength it portrays, and start there. I know at the end of my pregnancy all the different names started looking the same, so I wish you luck and hope you find the one soon.
Thank you so much for all your suggestions. Its very sweet of you . I think I have gotten a bit blind with this whole naming thing probably just need to pick something and hopefully I will fall in love with it then.
thanks again
