All of these names are beautiful! I voted for [name]Fiona[/name], but [name]Genevieve[/name] is also one of my favorite names, and could have easily voted for [name]Genevieve[/name]! [name]Caoimhe[/name] is lovely but extremely unusable (at least if you live in the US). [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Michaela[/name] are also lovely, but I’m afraid they (especially [name]Michaela[/name]) have been ruined by tryndeighness ([name]Madelyn[/name], [name]McKayla[/name], [name]Makaela[/name], etc). I like [name]Willa[/name], but it’s not as distinctive as your other choices. [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name] are beautiful, and you absolutely cannot go wrong with these names!! Which sound better with your last name?
Hard to say without knowing anyting about the family last name (how long, what does it sound like?)
but I like [name]Fiona[/name] the most, that goes great with the rhytm.
I voted for [name]Willa[/name]. It is pretty and I love how it reflects your maiden name. You really cant go wrong with any of the names you have on your list though…all are lovely. good luck!
I wavered between [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Willa[/name]. It was difficult for me to decide, but in the end I voted for [name]Fiona[/name]. If you have a son, [name]Wilson[/name] would be a great first or middle name for him, and then the link to your middle name would be even stronger. I know a boy named [name]Wilson[/name], it’s a fine first name, especially since it’s your maiden name. I think that the C- irish name just seems very difficult if you live in the US, and [name]Madeline[/name] and [name]Michaela[/name] are just both very trendy for my taste.
thanks for your vote! I can’t name a son [name]Wilson[/name] :(, which is very annoying! My new last name is [name]Johnson[/name] so [name]Wilson[/name] [name]Johnson[/name] is kind of ridiculous.
Well am afraid my favourite as to be [name]Caoimhe[/name]! I guess its because i love very unpopular names. My DD is called [name]Apolline[/name] because DH is british and I French.
[name]How[/name] do you actually pronounce it ? and What does it mean? I had never heard of it before but the way it sounds in my head rings very sweet and pretty…
[name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Michaela[/name] are too common and maybe a bit too long with elizabeth…
[name]Fione[/name] reminds me of Shreck …sorry
[name]Willa[/name] is also very pretty but sounds more of a nn than a proper first name
[name]Hope[/name] it helps, I know all too well the dilemma of choosing names when have different countries in Family
Your names are pretty different in style; thinking ahead to a future child (say a boy) what names are your favorite? If you have a favorite Irish name picked out for him then I’d go with [name]Fiona[/name]. If on the other hand you have a traditional sounding boys name ready to go than I’d say [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Genevieve[/name] might be the way to go. If your boys name is a little off beat with a more current vibe than [name]Willa[/name] might be perfect. You get the idea. [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name] are normally nicknamed to something shorter while [name]Willa[/name] sounds like it might be a nickname already - so again which way do you plan on going for future children.
