I am 36 weeks pregnant with my 4th daughter and we still have not found the perfect name and I am beginning to doubt we ever will. Our other 3 daughters are [name]Anna[/name] [name]Elaine[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] [name]Clare[/name]. My name is [name]Kate[/name] so [name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Kate[/name] are out as a first name. Our last name is [name]Marti[/name], and I’m not a fan of alliteration so otherwise cute names like [name]Molly[/name] are out.
We’ve tossed around [name]Jane[/name], [name]Nora[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Lillian[/name] but nothing feels like the one.
Anyway, we like timeless classic feminine names. Nothing in the top 10 names for sure, preferably nothing in the top 20.
Since you like classic and timeless names (like me), here are some suggestions. I looked up each name on the Social Security website for ranking in 2011 and none are in the top 20, though [name]Victoria[/name] is 23rd. After that, [name]Caroline[/name] at 87 and then [name]Eleanor[/name] at number 150.
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Alexandria[/name]
[name]Michaela[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Camille[/name]
[name]Regan[/name]
[name]Regina[/name]
[name]Abby[/name] ([name]Abigail[/name] is top 10, but [name]Abby[/name] as a first name is 296, if that makes a difference)
Would you use [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name] for a mn? That would be so great. Maybe [name]Sara[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Leah[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Lily[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Bonnie[/name] [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Kate[/name]? I like all your other choices except [name]Lydia[/name], and I love all your little girls’ names! Ooh, I love [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Kate[/name]! That one is on my list!
[name]Vivien[/name]/[name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Vivienne[/name] was the first thing I thought of. It has a classic feel and is not too common. Also, it means life. Good luck!
[name]Helen[/name]. I think [name]Anna[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Helen[/name] go perfectly together. Maybe [name]Helen[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Helen[/name] [name]Elise[/name]?
[name]Do[/name] you have any ideas for a middle name? It would be easier to come up with suggestions if there was something to go off of for sound, flow, etc. [name]Just[/name] to go along with the names of your other 3 daughters I think simple, classic, beautiful names such as…
I really like that, thank you. My only concern with Celcilia for a first name is that it will likely be shortened to Cece and I wonder if Cece [name]Marti[/name] is too heavy on the EE sound. [name]Cecelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is a beautiful combination though and I will consider it more.
I really like [name]Eve[/name]/[name]Eva[/name] and we’ve tossed that around a bit. I also adore [name]Emma[/name] but already have a niece [name]Emma[/name] and don’t want to use it. [name]Both[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] are also great but I think I like them for middle names. Thanks for the input!
