Help us name our third daughter!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everybody! We just found out we are about to have our third little girl. Last name starts with an A as in [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] (but is very [name_m]German[/name_m] sounding and different). Sisters are [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. Middle names are welcome! (But we cannot use [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], or [name_f]Mae[/name_f]).

Names on our list are:

[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Myra[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]

I’d love to hear some thoughts on these names. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] was our top contender until we found out a friend/neighbor (who is due first) is naming her baby [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. It kind of ruined it for us a bit.

PS I’m not concerned about popularity. Our last name is extremely uncommon, so I don’t mind a familiar first name. Also, I’d rather have my child be one of two in a class with a classic name than stand out with a unique/made up name. Thanks in advance for any advice and thoughts!

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is quite lovely. All these names are, really. The only two I am less drawn to are [name_f]Myra[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. It seems I am meeting and hearing of more Amelias lately. [name_f]Myra[/name_f] sounds to me like an old lady, but that may just be me.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is my favorite from your list.

I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. I’ve only known one [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]…my cousin (she’s about 27). Her middle name is [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (predictable). [name_f]My[/name_f] second pick would be [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Followed by [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is nice but doesn’t “go” as well as [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], would be off the table for me too. [name_f]Myra[/name_f] is the only one I don’t care for. [name_f]Mya[/name_f] (or [name_f]Maya[/name_f] or [name_f]Maia[/name_f]…whichever you prefer) would get my vote though.

I’m not sure what kind of middle names you’re looking for but here’s a few suggestions…
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Breanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (I know you said [name_f]Kate[/name_f] was out but I wasn’t sure about [name_f]Katherine[/name_f])
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

Other fn suggestions: [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Hailey[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (instead of ivy), [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Nora[/name_f] with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

Thanks for the input so far! [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is my husband’s favorite as well, so he’ll be glad to know you all like it.
[name_f]My[/name_f] hang up with [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is that I can’t find a middle name I like with it! I thought of [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but I worry they sound too choppy.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are my favorites from your list.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Annette[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Amalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Maelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Lynne[/name_f]

Oh & Nora Miren or Nora Simone

I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] from your list.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Isaline[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]! Not sure about [name_f]Nora[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]… [name_f]Myra[/name_f] is nice too but [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is still my favourite!

[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- See [name_f]Myra[/name_f].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]… they all make me think of the 1920s-1930s. However, if your last name begins with an A, this might not be the best choice.
[name_f]Myra[/name_f]- Very close to [name_f]Ella[/name_f] for me… 4 letters, ending with an A
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- Nice, but really long compared to [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]- I love that it is simple and cute like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]- This is a nice name, but lacks the simplicity of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

I’d go for [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] would be my other suggestions.

Thanks for all the input so far!

[name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] sound like perfect sister names. I also like that each name has it’s own ending sound. [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Nora[/name_f].

If you both love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], maybe you’d like [name_f]Evie[/name_f]? It could be short for [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]…

Or maybe [name_f]Edie[/name_f]? Short for [name_f]Edith[/name_f] or [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]? I also like a pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] in place of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].

Good luck deciding, and congratulations! Your list is lovely, you really can’t go wrong.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] are my favorites from your list.

What about [name_f]Ava[/name_f]?

OK guys, so after talking with my husband today we actually think our front runner may be [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. What do you all think of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]? Maybe I should start a new post to ask that.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is nice. I was just going to post saying I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] goes the best with your other 2 girls

I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] would be the perfect addition to your sibset : )
