I think that [name]Gabrielle[/name] is very pretty, but at the same time, it feels a bit dated to me now ([name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] wrote that it’s finally falling in popularity in the U.S.). I don’t know about [name]Gabrielle[/name]'s popularity in South [name]America[/name], so I don’t know how the name is perceived where you live.
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Lily[/name]: Because [name]Gabrielle[/name] ends in an L sound and [name]Lily[/name] begins with one, the Ls run together when I say [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Lily[/name] out loud. I think that [name]Lily[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] has a better flow.
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Chloe[/name]: I think that [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] flows well, but I don’t think that [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Chloe[/name] has the best flow.
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Ava[/name]: I think that [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] sounds great (although in the U.S., [name]Ava[/name] is super popular), but I’m personally not feeling [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Ava[/name]. You may also like [name]Eva[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name].
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Simone[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Grace[/name] (very popular in the middle, but you could call her [name]Gigi[/name])
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Kate[/name] (I think it sounds a bit blunt)
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Martine[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Rosette[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Paige[/name] (it feels modern to me like [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Chloe[/name])
I agree completely with [name]Jill[/name]. While [name]Gabrielle[/name] is a pretty name for your daughter, I do think that it is a bit dated and, well, plain at this point. I also agree that your middle name choices, while very nice, either sound better reversed ([name]Ava[/name] and [name]Chloe[/name]) or with a different name ([name]Lily[/name]).
Might you consider a name with the same meaning as [name]Gabrielle[/name]? Two you might consider are [name]Abrielle[/name] or [name]Brielle[/name], or you could use a more interesting variant, [name]Gavrilla[/name].
If neither of those suits you, what about a different French name ([name]Gabrielle[/name] is French)? [name]Angeline[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Jacqueline[/name], [name]Julianne[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Juliette[/name], [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Marguerite[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Nicolette[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name] are all lovely choices, but I think the best alternative to [name]Gabrielle[/name] might be [name]Genevieve[/name], an exquisitely feminine name with a strong meaning (“woman of the people”) that can be shortened to the spunky and sassy [name]Genni[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] if you prefer.
Another choice is to use a different name ending in -elle, such as [name]Annabelle[/name] ([name]Annabel[/name]), [name]Estelle[/name], [name]Giselle[/name], [name]Mirielle[/name], or [name]Rochelle[/name].
My final suggestion would be to use a name beginning with a G and possessing three syllables, like [name]Gabrielle[/name]. My suggestions are [name]Georgina[/name], [name]Ginevra[/name], [name]Gisela[/name], [name]Gloria[/name], [name]Guinevere[/name], and [name]Gwendolyn[/name].
At the end, if you decide that the only name you really love is [name]Gabrielle[/name], then perhaps that is your name! If that is the case, names like [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Aimee[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Brigitte[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Cecile[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Cheri[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Jolie[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Margot[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Mathilde[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Simone[/name], or [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] might work, although it seems that with most two-syllable middle names, the name sounds best reversed. Thus, I might suggest a one-syllable alternative, such as [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Faye[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Fleur[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Joie[/name], or [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Maude[/name] as a soft and feminine name for your child.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions they were really helpful. Some of the names you listed I’ve never thought of before and they’re really beautiful. Before I really did like [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Lily[/name] as my favorite, but now not so much, kind of bland and boring.
My new favorites:
[name]Giselle[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Luciana[/name] [name]Rosabelle[/name]
