Help with Girls Name Ind

So this decision this has been keeping me up at night and I’ve decided I need some help! My husband and I love the name [name]Indi/name for a little girl. We were originally considering [name]Indigo[/name] but the whole indigo children thing deterred us. Any ideas for full names that can be realistically shortned to [name]Indi[/name]? We have considering:
Indika [name]Mae[/name] (unusual first traditional middle). Any surprise connetations to this name?0
[name]Jacinda[/name] (but have not been able to sell the hubby on it. Also more likely to get [name]Jac[/name] than [name]Indi[/name])
Please help, I need some sleep before this baby arrives

Also: [name]Ingrid[/name]?

[name]Indira[/name]! I think it’s a cute name and [name]Indie[/name] would be adorable as a nickname!

I third [name]Indira[/name]- it’s a great name!

I like [name]Indira[/name] too!

Well to answer the question about your name combos, Indica with a C is a species of marijuana…Not sure if you’d want that connotation forever connected with your child. I think [name]Indira[/name] [name]Mae[/name] would be really beautiful though!

I know of a girl named [name]Indiana[/name]… As in [name]Indiana[/name] the state, or [name]Indiana[/name] [name]Jones[/name]. She goes by [name]Indie[/name]. I think [name]Indiana[/name] is a pretty cute name.

I love [name]Indigo[/name] (don’t know [name]Indigo[/name] children… but my man hates it bc of indigo girls)
[name]Indira[/name] is beautiful. And inspiring too (Gandhi)

Thanks everyone. [name]Indira[/name] is out because one of my husbands friends named his daughter [name]Indira[/name]. It is lovely though.
I like [name]Adelind[/name] and also found Adelinde (a dutch horse rider with this name) - how would you pronounce?
I somehow stumbled across Elinde apparently it is French and a deviation from [name]Elinda[/name] (therefore a deviation from [name]Ellen[/name]).

If anyone can track down info on the meaning of Elinde (or Ellinde) that would be appreciated, I have spent about 4 hours on this and don’t seem to be able to come up with anything!

Thanks again Nameberries - why was choosing my sons name easy???

What about [name]India[/name]?

[name]Just[/name] thought I would come back here to update, we called our little girl Kalinde (ka-[name]Lin[/name]-de) nn [name]Indy[/name] …

If you really want “[name]Indi[/name]” as a prefix, then go for [name]India[/name] or [name]Indiana[/name]. I don’t think you may get any other good suggestion.
