Help with middle name....

I’m having a really difficult time with a middle name. I’m pretty sure the first name is going to be [name]Ben[/name] (not [name]Benjamin[/name]) and I need a middle name that starts with the letter “D”. I can’t seem to think of anything that flows well. Our last name has a very harsh sounds – “r” and "v"s, so I need something softer for the middle name. Either than [name]David[/name] or [name]Daniel[/name], does any one have suggestions for middle names that would flow well with [name]Ben[/name]?

[name]Just[/name] [name]Ben[/name]? Not [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Benoit[/name], [name]Benson[/name], [name]Benedict[/name], or [name]Bentley[/name]?

[name]Dacey[/name]
[name]Dallas[/name]
[name]Dalton[/name]
[name]Damien[/name]
[name]Darcy[/name]
[name]Darius[/name]
[name]Darren[/name]
[name]Darwin[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name]
[name]Dawson[/name]
[name]Dayton[/name]
[name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Dennis[/name]
[name]Dominic[/name]
[name]Donnelly[/name]
[name]Douglas[/name]
Driver
[name]Duncan[/name]

I’m going to be honest and say that many D names don’t sound great with just [name]Ben[/name], as the name will sound like Bender or Bendo or Bendun, or something strange like that. I’d go with a longer form of [name]Ben[/name] to ease the transition into the middle name, personally.

[name]Darius[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name]
[name]Damian[/name]
[name]Donavan[/name]
Dorion
[name]Declan[/name]

[name]Ben[/name] [name]Dashiell[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Davian[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Dalton[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Declan[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Duncan[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Derek[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Douglas[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Damian[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Dominic[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Dimitri[/name]
[name]Ben[/name] [name]Dante[/name]

I hope this helps!

Also, have you thought about [name]Bennet[/name] or [name]Benaiah[/name] with the nickname [name]Ben[/name] if you don’t like [name]Benjamin[/name]? Nickname names just seem so insubstantial. Also, a one-syllable-d-name like [name]Drake[/name] might work easily with [name]Bennet[/name] or [name]Benaiah[/name], whereas it seems harsh next to the name [name]Ben[/name] alone. D names ending in “n” ([name]Declan[/name], [name]Duncan[/name], etc.) would also sound better as well with a name that doesn’t end in n.
