Help with naming an antagonist?

I’m planning a novel, and am currently working on the antagonist. The problem: I can’t think of a name

She’s a military strategist, who relies on manipulation instead of brute strength to get what she wants. She views other people as tools she can use. She’s been experimenting with dark magic, and through that, she’s become a monster—physically, as the magic has corrupted her body until she no longer looks human, and metaphorically as well. However, she fully believes that what she’s doing is right—after all, she’s only trying to make a better world for her children.

I’ve been playing around with names, and I can’t really seem to find one that fits. My current ‘working name’ for her is Malence (combined ‘marr’ with the -‘lence’ of ‘violence’ and took out the r’s to make it sound closer to ‘malice’), but I don’t know if this fits. For me, it fits the ‘coldhearted manipulator’ part of her, but less the ‘misguided strategist’—what do yall think?
I played around with some variations of this—Marlence, Malenthe (adding the ‘the’ of Evanthe), Malevna (that one gives maleficent for some reason); and some completely different ones too—Red, Andromeda, Vesper…but none of them really encompass the character properly.
I thought some of yall might have suggestions?? I’d love to hear any name ideas at all—real names, made up names, word names, anything <33

Hi, @lost_city_girl_14! As a fellow Nameberry who’s drawn to bad girls and Baddie girl names, maybe I can help with a few suggestions:

Melantha: Greek “Black flower”
Tinuviel: Sindarin “Daughter of twilight”
Shamayla: Hindi “Dark beauty”
Erembour: English “A mythological figure that rides in shadows”
Corvina: Latin “Raven” or “Dark-haired”
Jemisha: Sanskrit “Queen of darkness”
Louhi: Finnish In the Finnish Kalevala, the daughter of the god of death who gave birth to the diseases of the world

Happy creating!
