Help with suggestions

I have looked over so many nature names. I love [name_m]Espen[/name_m], not only for the special family meaning, but that it means “God [name_m]Bear[/name_m]” and is a nature name without being blatant. I like it’s softness. [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] is also nature like. It also has a softness to it. I like that both names are not common yet feel like they fit in (for lack of better words). What are some other nature like names, that are not blatant (not like [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Wolf[/name_m], [name_m]Birch[/name_m]), and are less common? I do not want to post a city’s name on a forum, but a name meaning river or rock would be a bonus. The city has very special meaning to me and my family.

Please avoid names that begin with E, B, J, C, S, L, N, and G.

I have no suggestions but I’m going to be watching this thread like a hawk. I love nature names  They really are my favorite… [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you get some great ideas!

I love [name_m]Espen[/name_m] and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]. My only suggestion would be [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]. It feels a bit nature-y to me because an atlas is a map of the world, and the world is nature. Sorry, not a great suggestion. I think [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] and [name_m]Espen[/name_m] are quite distinctive names and it’s hard to think of something equally as great!

[name_u]Waverly[/name_u], I love [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]. I am unsure I would have enough guts to use it.

I am still hunting. I will post any that I find for anyone else that is also interested. So far I came across [name_m]Adler[/name_m] “eagle”, Leander “lion man”, and [name_u]Channing[/name_u] “wolf cub”.

Ashford
[name_m]Ford[/name_m]
[name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_m]Pollock[/name_m] (Scottish wetland area, in addition to the artist’s surname)
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]/Fen
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
Winterson
[name_m]Phineas[/name_m]
[name_u]Rio[/name_u]
[name_m]Rock[/name_m]

Thank you, rkrd.

I feel [name_m]Ford[/name_m], [name_u]Ash[/name_u], [name_u]Aspen[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_u]Rio[/name_u], and [name_m]Rock[/name_m] are too obvious. I do like [name_u]Ash[/name_u], [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] (for a girl), [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (for a girl).

I have [name_u]Roan[/name_u] or [name_u]Reid[/name_u], both meaning “red haired”, on my top 5 to honor me.

Ashford is neat. I love [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Boone[/name_m] is on my list.

I love [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. It has been off and on my list. It does sound good with my son’s name and with my favorites.

I am not a fan of Winterson and [name_m]Phineas[/name_m].

I am still hoping to find something that means river or rock. [name_u]Calder[/name_u] “rocky water” fits and I love the name but unsure it works well with my son’s name.

[name_m]Adler[/name_m] is also on my list so I was going to suggest that. Also love [name_u]Glenn[/name_u], meaning ‘of the valley’, but some might find it too old fashioned. Good luck

I went to junior high and high school with a boy named [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] that ruined the name for me. Not sure how I would feel about the name if I never knew that person.

Here’s some nature names that I think are rare. I couldn’t find any for river or rock…

[name_f]Lupe[/name_f]- wolf

Thank you, kadybug.

[name_m]Dundee[/name_m] could make a fun middle name. Not sure of my thoughts of it as a first name.

I do like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I feel like it is a strong, masculine name but I have never grown to love it.

[name_m]Knox[/name_m] would also make a nice middle name.

I like [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].

I can only see Beano, the gas drops, for [name_m]Benno[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Holden[/name_m]. [name_m]Holden[/name_m] has gone off and on my list

[name_u]Douglas[/name_u]
[name_m]Wiley[/name_m]

…?

Thank you, kirstenlouise.

I really like [name_u]Ashby[/name_u], it is one that I could easily love.

I love [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], I just love [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] slightly better. I feel [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] are a bit too close.

When I was young I really liked [name_m]Craig[/name_m]. We have a [name_m]Gregg[/name_m] in the family that is close, so [name_m]Craig[/name_m] would not work for us.

I really like [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] but I feel it is too common compared to [name_m]Espen[/name_m] and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m].

[name_m]Flint[/name_m] and [name_m]Heath[/name_m] are different. I will need to think on these.

I like [name_u]Linden[/name_u], just not loving it.

I really like [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], especially [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] would also the Scottish side of the family. My hesitation is that [name_f]Livia[/name_f] is my top girl name.

A rock name. Thank you. [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] would be rock and water. Have to think on this.

I love [name_u]Roan[/name_u] and [name_u]Reid[/name_u], have [name_u]Roan[/name_u] or [name_u]Reid[/name_u] [name_u]August[/name_u] in my top 5.

[name_u]Rafe[/name_u] sounds like a nickname to me but I love [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m], nickname [name_u]Rafe[/name_u]. [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] has gone off and on my list.

I love [name_u]Ash[/name_u] as a nickname for “ash” names.

[name_m]Boyd[/name_m] is nice but very close to [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m].

I have been considering [name_u]Calder[/name_u]. [name_u]Calder[/name_u] means “rocky water” close to rock and river.

I love [name_u]Eden[/name_u] but as a girl’s name.

I really like [name_u]Finn[/name_u].

I need to start taking notes. Now I have extra questions I will need to ask.

Thank you, niteowl.

I really like [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] but love [name_u]Roan[/name_u]. I have [name_u]Roan[/name_u] or [name_u]Reid[/name_u] [name_u]August[/name_u] in my top 5.

I have had mixed feeling about [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. I think it is a handsome name but then I think of the creature, which I find a bit scary.

I love [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I have [name_u]Gray[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] on my list.

[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m], [name_m]Pippin[/name_m], and [name_m]Pip[/name_m] would make fun middle names. I need to add these to my middle name list.

[name_u]Perry[/name_u] is nice. I need to think about this.

Not a fan of [name_m]Percival[/name_m] but like the nickname [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. I do not feel [name_u]Percy[/name_u] could stand on it’s own.

[name_m]Pearce[/name_m], [name_m]Pierce[/name_m], and [name_m]Piers[/name_m] - What is the correct spelling?

Thank you, curlyjedi.

[name_m]Remington[/name_m] and [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] are the only ones I can see as first names. [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] was popular in my area and I graduated with several boys named [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] and [name_m]Doug[/name_m]. [name_m]Remington[/name_m] is a bit too [name_m]Remington[/name_m] [name_u]Steele[/name_u] for me. I do like that [name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] could be a nickname.
