Quick question. Does the name [name]Amelia[/name] sound too Whimsical for a character who is a witch? The catch is, the novel I’m writing has supernatural characters in it, but it has a very dark feeling to it, not whimsical…if that makes any sense.

What about [name]Amalia[/name]? Very similar but has a darker feel to it.

I agree with leonielee, [name]Amalia[/name] sounds a bit better for a witch. Still doesnt sound very dark, but it has a magical quality to it. For the last name, I like Harwell.

Yeah, it does. Ummm. I think if I used it people would still read it as [name]Amelia[/name] because I almost did. I’m hoping I can get away with [name]Amelia[/name] if I pair it with a strong surname. Harwell, I don’t think would do it, but Hosick and Horvath would, especially Horvath.
