I had the oddest and most curious dream the other night. Here it is:
I am suppose to be spending a month or so in the summer at my grandmother’s in her small [name_u]Texas[/name_u] country town. As I was there, I grew bored one day and decided to go for a walk amounst a wide, open field of wheat/golden-like grass, listening to music. Suddenly, I heard a baby crying. Running as fast I could toward the cries, I soon found this little baby girl wrapped in a blanket. She had a note pinned onto her blanket that read, in hurried calligraphy, ‘If she stays, she’ll be killed. Please take care of her.’
Gently, I picked her up, soothing her until she calmed, and proceeded to take her home to my grandmother.
Later on that evening, we had called the local sheriff about her, but nothing about her parents/mother was ever found. All the while, as the case went on, we had taken her in and cared for her. In which allowed me to name her [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Blessing. (Blessing after how blessed she was that I had found her when I did.)
When the case was given up and unverbally announced ‘unsolved’, we were somehow able to keep her and continued to raise her.
What do you think of that name, [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Blessing? And what do you think of the dream overall?
That’s the coolest dream ever! You should totally write a story about that. [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Blessing sounds very conservative, almost Puritan, but it’s really cute. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] would be a cute nickname. Gosh, why I don’t I have such elaborate and narrative dreams?!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name, it is absolutely lovely. It was a pretty cool dream, but I must say that it was rather mild and straight forward compared to my dreams… I’m an insomniac, but when I do sleep, it makes Inception and the Matrix look like a 5 year olds invention :)- I have a hugely overractive imagination :).
There are so many lovely nicknames with [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Blessing too: [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Hettie[/name_f], [name_f]Ria[/name_f], Bless, etc. Please use it… I am begging you.
Normally I am not too fond of [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], love [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f], but [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Blessing is so charming. Very sweet and beautiful.
[name_m]How[/name_m] ironic. I’m also an insomniac who has very elobrate dreams (as you can tell), most likely due to also havin an overactive imagination. This is the first time I’ve had a dream like this, though all my dreams are very random.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] like I was saying, I find it funny because I’ve always had such vivid dreams. And I’ve also always had the ability to remember the majority of them in such great detail too. In fact, up until recently when corrected by a friend, I had assumed that everyone else had the same ability too. I was quite shocked, and a bit amazed, to find out otherwise.
Anyhow, I’m really glad that people like the name! That’s such a compliment to me. Thank you guys! I have to admit that I’m kinda proud if it and the fact that I came up with it unconsciously.
